MacLeodCorp (W.I.P.): TheSource's Inside Scoop!

Well, TheSource has taken over MacLeodCorp. At the moment, I will be leaving the furniture the way it is. At pcgamemods.com I will keep MacLeodCorp in place. Untill I get this thread in order, which will be in a few days, I will then seek out someone to help with the transformation in other locations online. Reasoning for this change is that MacLeodCorp is the name I use as webmaster. Since the name is now going to be affiliated with a design company, I decided to seperate the two. MacLeod Corporation will also feature a new website, which will have a library of my KotOR II mods. Untill it is done, I will be holding back all the links.

Final Mods In Progress:

HK Factory: Connecting and Fixing!

Since the modules are 80% done, all it really requires is a few teaks here or there. A few others have become intrested, and starting on August 28, 2005, we will be going full force. This is not a universal 'restoration', but a mod that will allow people to swiftly gain acces to the HK Factory and enjoy a fully functional set of levels.

Update 8/18:

1. 25% Complete (Projection 2 Weeks)

The Unseen Locations

Within the modules, there are locations hidden that do not appear on the maps. For the past few days, I have been hiding canisters and various items.

Update 8/18:

The Dark Apprentice: Patch

With in the tremendous feedback, I will be creating a patch to 'The Dark Apprentice', which will include some fixes.

2. Adding Change to Dark 'Jedi' Robe.

More details to come...

The Dark Apprentice II: Between two lies...

For the last few days, I have been drawing up plans for a sequal. However, it will not be as large as the first production. With in the first mod, a small twist presented itself, and so I am going forward with a conclusion.

1. 100% Complete

As I went back through my files, I noticed an incomplete version of 'The Girls of KotOR', and plans have started to go forward on completion.

Update 8/25:

1. 100% Complete

Update 8/3:

1. Nothing as of yet!

More details to come...

Telos: Billboard Set IV: Redemption

A few months ago, I was able to obtain enough screenshots, so I can start production on a fourth edition to the 'Telos: Billboards Set', and I have started to hammer out the details.

Update 8/25:

1. 40% Complete

Update 8/3:

1. Filtering out screens.

2. Some screens are now in place.

More details to come...

=========================

From where I stand now, these are the final mods in my KotOR II series. I will no doubt be leaving with one of the most coolest experiences I have ever had online. I have meet people from all walks of life, and enjoyed a rememberable experience with everyone.

On September 4, 2005, I will be releasing a progress report on these mods.

Thank You,

Pity. It's always sad to see another modder go. If you're bored modding TSL, you can always do KOTOR.

I agree. I say stick around, you never know what new discovery somebody might make and it might open up a whole new possiblitiy for modding.

Anyways, your mod ideas sound great. But, though I would love to have them, if you are doing it because you think you have to, then don't. You should mod because you want to. Hopefully you do :)

I am actually moding these, for I want to see them done. I have an idea, which I want to see come to life. These are personal mods, which I allways wanted to do. When I first started modding, I allways found myself saying, "Hey I want to try that'. Now that I have the knowledge, I want to see them through. I will feel a sence of resolution, which is pretty cool if you think about it.

Thanks for all your kind words...

Yes! The Jedi Sanctuary is in the middle of being made. Even though I did not mention it, I am still going ahead with the project. I actually have done a lot since I made the first announcement of the project, and I am going to see it thorugh as well.

DarthInsidious and I have been talking about this, so I would take his word for it.

it would be nice if you would stay Mac. but if you feel an overwhelming desire to go, good luck and god speed... your mods will become very valuable as a painting from a famous artist, not that they already aren't, just more so... but it would be good to see you stick around for K3, like the others said, you could mod K1 for a while as filler mods till K3 comes out... you have some awesome mods man, kudos...

sorry if this all sounds corny...

Dark Apprentice: Feedback!

For the past few weeks, I have been curious about some questions. If you people have the time, please let me know your thoughts about the follwing:

1. Did you like the robes?

2. Did you like the sabers?

3. What did you think about the story?

4. What do you think I should avoid in part 2?

5. While I am making the patch for 'The Dark Apprentice', what fixes do you believe would help? (Not a story question, but in other aspects.)

6. Since I have revamped the readme, what do you believe should be in the final readme?

7. Was there too much dialogue?

8. Was the plot clear?

9. Did you have problems finding anything?

Let me know...

1. yes

2. good job (wish the color crystal was upgradeable though JMO)

3. it was alright

4. not sure...

5. maybe place the two guys on the bridge outside khoonda in a differ. place, because most people go to the administrators office and explore inside first, so they run into bastila before they do the guys on the bridge (at least i do)...

6. not sure about that one either...

7. no

8. fairly

9. no

over all really good job, i like it... Kudos Mac :D

The only thing I can think of is to change the location of that sith like ossus said. I remember when I was testing it I almost missed the rooms in the Khoonda building since you didn't know you had to go in them, but IIRC, you fixed that...

I haven't played through all of it (I've been busy with other stuff, sorry) and it seems very good.

Only thing I'm not too sure about, durring your conversation with Bastilla on Dantoine, the main pc begins to talk about Jolee and Juhani. As I recall, since Jolee was stranded on Kashyyk for a while (I think a few decades, I'm not sure) and only returned during the Jedi Civil War, he wouldn't have ever known the exile as the exile only returned to the Republic recently, after the civil war. Same goes for

mission

as the exile never would have met her as far as I remember.

Although, I may have missed something where this was explained, seeing as I didn't get the chance to play through it in order, I only had the small conversation with Bastilla on Telos, and later on Dantoine, so this might have been explained at another point and I could have just missed it.

Either way great mod :) I can't wait for the second part to it :D

Hey Mac, Sorry I could never help you more with the sanctuary, still another week before web access :(.

As for your, Dark Apprentice mod...

GREAT!!!

The items were OK.

The story was interesting, I didn't see the twist coming, kinda blinsided me,

I thought it was reffering to Bastila somehow.

The entire thing had an extra level of quality to it, the only thing I didn't like is that it was short, (although, I'm sure it took you a lot of work ;) )

you popped up so many ideas and plot possibilities, and then it's just...OVER

and the fact that i had to play all the way through the Telos levels before I heard from it again, you should make a longer more involved sequel,

and pace it so that you don't have to go far before being sucked back into the quest/plot/story thing, (hope that's not overly critical ;D )

Actually, about the Dialog, I love dialog and would've liked to see more.

The plot seemed pretty clear, but it's hard to talk about the plot, when it wasn't long.

I didn't have any problem finding anything.

It had excellent presentation, but seemed more like a preview to something you were trying to set up.

Simply, it was great while it lasted!!!

End of critique.

Okay so one of your bounty hunters the one with the red shades who lookes like the vampire assasins from Blade II, how do you mod him in, he was the one we were PMing about before, and I couldn't get him and several other character appearences to show up.

If you really don't want to do TSL anymore, do Kotor, If you don't want to do that...hold on...I think I smell STEAM in the air ;)
