hmm, interesting question. in real life, i would have to be lightside. that is until you steal my coffee. then i'm gonna get darkside on you. :dev7:

of course, if we lived in the Star Wars universe, that question gets a different answer. i'm definately a proponent of what Jolee believed, but don't count on me being some old coot stuck in log somewhere. hehe...

Lightside.

Though I do agree the Jedi Council are a bit too reserved at times. It would still be awsome to say "yes, I am a Jedi." Ofcourse if I was, I wouldn't be able to be proud of it for fear of the darkside perpetually looming in the shadows, waiting far me to falter.

Aye, a hard life it be.

Lightside most definitely but I, like so many others have already stated, would not be able to fully comply with all the Jedi rules, bylaws, edicts, memorandums, proclamations, etc.

but not a member of the Jedi order cuz ya can't live with out making attachments to others

I'm with jedigoku on this one. Human beings draw great strength from our relationships. And besides, I've always wondered how the Jedi Order was supposed to keep going if they didn't allow their members to *ahem* propagate.

most people including me would probably go dark side not because we want to kill people for no reason but because you can do anything. No jedi code to hold you back would be very appealing to many.

Well, the question was Lightside or Darkside, not Sith or Jedi.

While those groups are the two most prominent practitioners of the respective sides, they are not synonymous with that side. The Force existed long before both the Sith and the Jedi Order were founded after all. :)

Thus there would be nothing stopping you from being a full lightside or darkside force sensitive even if you don't adhere to the teachings of either group.

Actually, if you list the options as lightside or darkside, I would probably walk a lighter path somewhere still in the gray area simply because I have nothing against using Telekinetic Kill, or Force Lightning on deserving individuals or groups.

That leads to the Dark Side!

That leads to the Dark Side!

Yes it can, but that is also the true test, to channel that negative energy, let that demon out of the cage so to speak, the ability to put him back in the cage afterward. ;)

But yes channeling DS energy, if your emotions are left unchecked, will definately lead to the darkside...

I would be Gray. The new sith are arrogant and the jedi are evan more arrogant. I think the light side is stronger because it always manipulates things so it wins in the end.

But The Chancellor/Sedious was the greatest manipulator of the whole series. He even manipulated the Jedi order.

I would follow the Sith Teachings. To know the darkside is to experience true power. The narrow and powerless view of a Jedi is foolish, wasting time helping those to weak to help themselves only surrenders the universe to weakness and fear. Power gives the strong the right to wield it against all those who stand in their way. It gives them the right to keep the weak under their total control. Using the power of rage, and hatred will fuel ones abilities and strengths far more than by surrendering oneself to the pathetic serenity of a jedi knight. The force is not meant to be used as a shield to protect the useless and the weak, but a weapon to wield and use by the strong, and the worthy......the sith. In the end the darkness will always eclipse the light, the Sith may have vanished, but they will return stronger than ever. The dark Side is my ally.
