REDJOHNNYMIKE
Okay, I've been broke most of the summer, and now I'm getting a paycheck (you have no idea how small it is:() But I haven't gotten a game all summer, so here's your chance to influence my upcoming binge. Of the games that have been released in the late spring to late summer, for X-box and PC, what did you really enjoy playing:)
Snafu7
Well, for the PC, I'm completely addicted to BF2, it's pretty fun, so I'd reccomend it.
REDJOHNNYMIKE
I actually got BF2 before my summer starvation, and it is one of my favorite games, I just haven't been able to get a connection for my PC:(
stingerhs
well, there's really not much to recommend. you could check out Empire Earth 2, but only if you're more of a hardcore RTS guy, as the game is a bit overly-complicated. otherwise, i'd just wait for all the games that are set to come out later this month. PoM
Black & White 2? It's supposedly kinda awesome. Seriously, who can resist those graphics? Edit: It's a god-sim - citybuilder - RTS game.
Bob Lion54
Fable: The Lost Chapters !!! I bought it last Friday. The game rocks. A bit short, but its still all kinds of fun. I'm thinking about looking in to modding it, but as it just came out, there really is not a lot of info out there yet. Its a bit like a mature version of Zelda but with RPG elements. (maybe thats just me)
Achilles
I picked up Baldur's Gate for $8 in the clearance bin at OfficeMax last week. Now that I'm catching up on the 90's I can see what all the buzz was about. What a great game!

Now that I'm catching up on the 90's I can see what all the buzz was about. What a great game! If you get the chance, get it's successor too. It's one of the few "sequels" that actually do justice to the game and series Baldur's Gate II rocked... plus Minsc & Boo get to 'carry on' the humor -------------- @RJM, what type of game genres are you interested in? RPG's, Sports, Action, FPS? As Achilles has, I'd definitely suggest any of the Baldur's Gate Series (RPG), Morrowind (I'm biased, I'm playing it ATM), of course my normal "spew" of any of the NWN Series games... Dungeon Siege Series is a decent mix of RPG/Action (though mostly on the action side)... Those are just a few I can think of.. and most are 'old' so it won't put a major dent in the wallet

REDJOHNNYMIKE
"@RJM, what type of game genres are you interested in? RPG's, Sports, Action, FPS?" Usually Action-Fps, the only traditional sports games I really enjoy are Ncaa football and NBAstreet Basketball, As for RPG, I can't really say, I like the freeform style and immersion, but I'm usually turned off by the whole witch, elf, fairy, gnome, magic potion, demons, spells, etc. fantasy stuff, those ommissions are what I like about KotOR:D I was actually thinking of getting Dungeon Seige 2, I played a demo and liked it, but is it the best of games in a similar style? Has anyone tried Pirates for the X-box?
