itchythesamurai Posted November 1, 2005 Posted November 1, 2005 Means Telltale Games didn't deliver on the Sam & Max news before the end of the month. Check out the October 10th news on Mojo if you don't believe me. Hopefully there is no need to panic...
Udvarnoky Posted November 1, 2005 Posted November 1, 2005 Well, I made it sound more like a promise than it was. In the interview they said, in response to a question regarding Sam & Max, to check back at the site "later this month." I'm sure they'll be posting something soon. Or the game's cancelled.
SyntheticGerbil Posted November 1, 2005 Posted November 1, 2005 hmm... I'm sure Bone didn't exactly receive the response they were looking for. TExAS HOLD 'EM! I LIVE IN TExAS THAT'S WHAT WE PLAY!
Zoom Rabbit Posted November 1, 2005 Posted November 1, 2005 Sorry, chums, but the game's been cancelled because I threatened to sue them for using my avatar in a new videogame. That plus I'm mean. Zoom Rabbit Shoots up the Playboy Mansion will be out by Christmas, but I'm afraid you'll have to be eighteen to buy it.
Scummbuddy Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 as funny as joking about it being cancelled actually is... (its giving me a laugh, anyways) there'd be no way that telltale would cancel it. I'm sure they see it as a money maker, even if the company was going into the red right now. I doubt that they are, and even so, hopefully not too much, but if I were in charge I would bank everything on the Sam and Max game and shelf Bone, for just awhile, to make sure that costs are kept down, but enough that Sam and Max is one hell of a game, to help fund TellTale into the future. Edit* I'm not saying that they SHOULD shelf bone. I was only saying that IF the company was having some financial problems.
Metallus Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 I made that avatar for myself. I forget exactly how it ended up in the lucasforums gallery, heh. Of course, the artwork used in it was stolen from some fan art posted here in the stone age.
SyntheticGerbil Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 I believe Zoom Rabbit says it is his, Metallus.
Zoom Rabbit Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 Technically, not all images of my face are owned by me. Just the face. Just as a photo of Gary Coleman can be owned by the National Enquirer, so too can the copyright of my avatar be a somewhat tenuous matter. Still, I am the rabbit thus depicted. *(Bites Gerbil on the leg then scampers away into the lettuce patch.)*
Ray Jones Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 Hey, uhhm, .. I'm sellin' these fine avatars??
Zoom Rabbit Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 I'm selling organic cigarettes. And my retarded sister.
itchythesamurai Posted November 8, 2005 Author Posted November 8, 2005 Woot, not only did Telltale Games mention Sam & Max, but they are going to have at least thirty people working on it.
itchythesamurai Posted November 9, 2005 Author Posted November 9, 2005 It is Sam & Max, Udvarnoky, you honestly don't expect absolutely everyone in the building to stop what they are doing to work on it?
Scummbuddy Posted November 10, 2005 Posted November 10, 2005 Not if they don't want to get Bone part 2 out in a timely manner. They will most likely take on new employees now that they have an even bigger game liscense, but no, they won't drop Bone 2 for Sam and Max 2 (version 3), especially since Sam and Max 2 will also be episodic. They will form their own teams that will continue the games for quite awhile, I'd suppose.
SyntheticGerbil Posted November 10, 2005 Posted November 10, 2005 But now they have CSI going. WHORES!
Jake Posted November 11, 2005 Posted November 11, 2005 They've had CSI going for months, like, well before Bone 1 shipped they had a team working on CSI. Secrests!
itchythesamurai Posted November 12, 2005 Author Posted November 12, 2005 Surprise! Sam and Max star in CSI! Brutal family fun with Ryan Seacrest's corpse? No way to lose.
Skinkie Posted November 15, 2005 Posted November 15, 2005 Surprise! Sam and Max star in CSI! This could very well be disturbingly fun.
itchythesamurai Posted November 16, 2005 Author Posted November 16, 2005 Now that I think of it, Sam & Max could probably pull off some pretty funny CSI-related material. Heck, I'd pay fifty bucks for a simulator of Max poking bodies resulting in various squishy sounds.
Udvarnoky Posted December 14, 2005 Posted December 14, 2005 If Purcell's involved, then it's the best chance of a good S&M that we're going to get.
itchythesamurai Posted December 15, 2005 Author Posted December 15, 2005 I know what you mean Udvarnoky, it just wouldn't feel like S&M without Purcell at the reins.
SyntheticGerbil Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 Just why does their 3D have to be so chunky?
