7red Posted November 30, 2005 Posted November 30, 2005 Ok, so I was reading about how hard this book is to find and how expensive it is. I go down to my local comic shop and pick up a copy for $11.32. I take it that was a steal. Everyone's pal 7red
Udvarnoky Posted December 1, 2005 Posted December 1, 2005 I hate you, and hope you die also. Welcome!
SyntheticGerbil Posted December 1, 2005 Posted December 1, 2005 I think you're the one who's everyone's pal, Udvarnoky.
Scummbuddy Posted December 1, 2005 Posted December 1, 2005 Well, it is a steal... except I don't think you got... a personalized, hand-drawn sam and max inside cover?!?! Pfft... totally worth the 70+ dollars...
7red Posted December 1, 2005 Author Posted December 1, 2005 I went back and found/bought the Sam & Max Freelance Police: Special Color Collection, and a couple copies of the ONI Double Feature #10. (If anybody needs a copy) It only had the 1 page strip. And yes while true, I do not have the super cool drawing (you lucky weasel) on the inside cover, I feel lucky to have found the collection period. I literally just stumbled across it and came on line to see where I remembered the strip from. So, now I have read parts of it and feel the need to track down a copy of the game. (Ebay.... ahhh). Anyway, it was this boards high praise that introduced me to the characters. Before this I had seen a few episodes of the short lived cartoon series. Thanks Everyone's Pal 7red
itchythesamurai Posted December 2, 2005 Posted December 2, 2005 Yeah, Sam & Max gets a lot better outside of the cartoon series...
Scummbuddy Posted December 14, 2005 Posted December 14, 2005 I wouldn't know what pricing he'd want, but he may just do it because he's a fan-lover. He did my cover because the price went so high and to Steve it seemed worthy. I would love to get an xbox 360 skin/stickers (3 sides) with sam and max. Maybe I'll wait for the blank or the clear ones to come out and paint on them.
SyntheticGerbil Posted December 14, 2005 Posted December 14, 2005 What? Let's get Sam and Max pleather seats for our cars while were at it. Maybe I can even use a cock ring with Max's face on it. I want Sam and Max stickers telling every ****ing liberal jack off to support our troops, god damn it my legs are missing. Oh yeah, then I can dial my peeps up on my new Sam and Max celly that says "I'd be peeing my pants if I wore any" on repeat for my really ****ing loud ringtone that not a damn soul in the world should care about if there is any sanctity left in this marketing wasteland.
itchythesamurai Posted December 15, 2005 Posted December 15, 2005 I can imagine Gerbil walking into a Hot Topic filled with outrageous Sam and Max merch and mass chaos ensues.
ochopatas Posted December 15, 2005 Posted December 15, 2005 Well, it is a steal... except I don't think you got... a personalized, hand-drawn sam and max inside cover?!?! Pfft... totally worth the 70+ dollars... 70 dollars?! Are you for real? He drew mine for free... I emailed him and asked him if he could autograph my book. I mailed him the book and he mailed it back full of fun drawings.
Scummbuddy Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 it was 70 dollars because i bought the book from him. then in an email to me, he stated that since the price was so high, he felt obligated to do something nice and wondered if he could do a little sketch as a thank you.
SyntheticGerbil Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 Why would I hate Hot Topic? They are "Everything about the music" after all. What are you? "Everything not about the music?" You anti-American jerk. And also apparently black people are bad.

itchythesamurai Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 Score, I got a free copy of Surfin' the Highway! My friend nabbed it at Half-Price Books several months ago, and then he gave it to me today. It's in better condition than mine, but I don't plan on selling it.
Samnmax221 Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 Where do you live and when won't you be home. No reason or anything
Skinkie Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 He just wants to know where there's a store nearby you that has sold one recently, at least that's probably why he wants to know.
Samnmax221 Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 because he's the pig-****ing anti-buddha thats why
itchythesamurai Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 My original is starting to fall apart. What should I have done?
