Negative Sun Posted August 25, 2006 Posted August 25, 2006 Looks kickass...Unfortunately, this place doesn't have too many comic book shops...
Negative Sun Posted August 26, 2006 Posted August 26, 2006 Good point, or Amazon maybe? Do you know where I can get the best value for money?
Jae Onasi Posted August 26, 2006 Posted August 26, 2006 you may also be able to order from darkhorse itself. Try their website.
Jae Onasi Posted August 31, 2006 Posted August 31, 2006 IIRC it is next week... September 13th is the publish date. I think I may still owe a review of #7 to SWK.... @CountV below--me too. I just didn't like Zayne's look in this latest one. It took some of his innocent look away, and that innocence is part of his charm.
CountVerilucus Posted August 31, 2006 Posted August 31, 2006 I hope they go back to the original artist, because I don't like zayne's new look.
igyman Posted August 31, 2006 Posted August 31, 2006 September 13th is the publish date. I think I may still owe a review of #7 to SWK.... Yeah, originally it was supposed to be released the 30th of August, but they moved it to September. Damn! **@!%$#!!*
Prime Posted August 31, 2006 Author Posted August 31, 2006 September 13th is the publish date. I think I may still owe a review of #7 to SWK....I still plan on hosting your reviews as well on my revamped site, if that is still ok... @CountV below--me too. I just didn't like Zayne's look in this latest one. It took some of his innocent look away, and that innocence is part of his charm.Yeah, me either. I don't really like the new look if the characters very much. But other aspects of the art are quite good IMO. I prefered the original art overall though...

I looked at the preview at Darkhorse, and he still has the 'new' look. Oh well.
Prime Posted September 12, 2006 Author Posted September 12, 2006 Here is some KOTOR art from Brian Ching!
Jae Onasi Posted September 12, 2006 Posted September 12, 2006 I put up a review of Issue 7 at SWK. Brian's ink drawing of Revan was very cool, and I liked the Zayne color drawing, too.
Intrepid One Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 John Jackson Miller has posted trivia and production notes on his website, http://www.farawaypress.com, for all the KOTOR issues he's written so far. Check it out! Also, artists Brian Ching and Dustin Weaver are alternating story arcs for this series. Dustin wraps up his current run with issue #9, "Flashpoint" part 3, and Brian will be back in #10, a 1-shot story featuring Master Lucien, and #11-12, which introduce a pair of Ithorian bounty hunters to the cast. You can check out Dark Horse's upcoming Star Wars comics here: http://www.darkhorse.com/search/search.php?viewmode=gallery&sstring=Star+Wars&sortfield=onsaledate&sortmeth=desc&scope=products&genre=all&type=comic&startmonth=all&startyear=all&endmonth=all&endyear=all&genre=all
Prime Posted September 22, 2006 Author Posted September 22, 2006 I'm really interested in the Lucien issue. He seems like a great character so far...
HerbieZ Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 Excellent, just read the latest issue, some familier ships in there i was happy to see. I think this issue was the closest to the games ever. Republic cruisers, PROPER basilisk war droids, Neo-Crusaders and even Saul Karath! Also, this issue brings up a point which was featured in Kotor as for the real reason the mandalorians attacked. Something pushed them, and now we know whatever pushed them, influenced padawan slaughter.
montnoir Posted September 24, 2006 Posted September 24, 2006 I had planned to not read the issues until the story-arc is finished, but I couldn't do it. I read both issue 7 & 8. It indeed did feel a lot more kotor-game-ish than the previous. The "character" they pick up to join the team was a bit over-obvious, but nothing that really grated. The humour was actually funny ("what do you want me to do with this blaster?! Sell it to them? I think they're pretty covered when it comes to weaponry" - Gryph commenting on the armed to the teeth mandalorians). The art, I think I prefer this new guy (Weaver), he has a much "cleaner" and more realistic look to his drawings than the old one (Ching).
CountVerilucus Posted October 5, 2006 Posted October 5, 2006 New issue just came out, what do you all think? It was nice to see an appearance of Karath in it. I'm even more interested in it now since that new guy joined the party. Good series, but each comic book is too short for me.
igyman Posted October 5, 2006 Posted October 5, 2006 I find it interesting that Zayne had his old appearance on the cover of this issue, but the new one in the comic itself.
HerbieZ Posted October 5, 2006 Posted October 5, 2006 He's fighting so he's bound to get a few wrinkles.
Prime Posted October 5, 2006 Author Posted October 5, 2006 It will be interesting to see what kind of testing the Mandalorians are actually doing on the Jedi...
igyman Posted October 5, 2006 Posted October 5, 2006 And why don't those Jedi simply use the Force to escape their imprisonment.
Prime Posted October 6, 2006 Author Posted October 6, 2006 Indeed. Here is a pic from an upcoming issue (January I think)...
