TheOssusKeeper
I just recently got NWN Diamond Ed. and enjoyed playing it... It's a good game, I was wondering if NWN 2 will have the look and feel of the Kotor games? Who here plays NWN or did? Also, which mods do you recommend for NWN? Is there any modders here that have modded NWN?
ChAiNz.2da
Weeeee... gadz I love this game(s).. I've played the entire series for well over 3 years straight, and it's still loaded on my system There's so many great mods for this game (other than the Official Expansion Sets).. but I'd highly suggest them as well... Right off the bat though, I'd suggest getting the CEP (Community Expansion Pack). It's not a Mod by itself, but many of the newer (better) mods incorporate it into their hakpaks... The Hall of Fame list includes some of the best modules you'll find, but sometimes it helps to explore around. Some of my personal Favorites are: - The Rogues of Quinn, Series All 3 of them (for Rogue based PC's) - Sands of Fate 1 - Shadows over Heliopolis, (post HotU modules, high lvl PC's) - Sands of Fate 2 - Gem Tower, (post HotU modules, high lvl PC's) - The Lord of Terror - The Diablo Campaign, Diablo Campaign NWN style It's better than the original Blizzard game..hehehe - Tortured Hearts I, Massive Mod, and very hard but worth it. Don't try this one till you're comfortable with the gameplay - Tales of Arterra "Series", You should play "The Lost" mod before "The Awakening"

Can't wait for NWN 2 though. I hope Obsidian didn't rush this one either!!! (just kidding )

stoffe
ok, dumb question.... is NWN a MMO??? (sorry cant stand MMO's personaly... some call me anti-social ) i have been looking for a new game lately (can only beat Kotor I & II so meany times).... Neverwinter Nights is a module/campaign based game which can be played both in solo, and in multiplayer with others. While the game wasn't originally designed for it, some have built (MMO-like) persistant world modules with it. The original game campaign and the two expansion packs were mostly made to be played solo, though the biggest part of NWN is exploring the large number of user-made modules (which can be single-player or multi depending on how they were built). You don't have to play multiplayer games or persistant worlds to have fun with it. I've had the game since it was released and I've never played it in multiplayer. Kommando
NWN is quite addicting. I got the diamond edition around the same time as TSL, and after I finished TSL I have been totally addicted. The Community Expansion Pack (CEP) is essential, and though I haven't finished the game, I have been a regular of a Peristent World with a Sci-Fi theme called "Itropa" (do a google search). TheOssusKeeper
well, I've got the CEP 1.52, and a few mods (Runes of Blood, Soldier's Grave, Shadow Queen, Kale's Rangers and I have a bunch more written down (including the one's ChAiNz mentioned) for download when I get a chance... the list is a rather long one...) Edit: NWN Diamond came with all the Exp. Packs and Premium Mods (except for PotSC), I've played them all through at least once... I've begun to dive into modding the game... does anyone know of any good modding tools for this game?
RevanA4
I'm gonna go with NWN being the best RPG game ever made and leave it at that. I'm kinda partial to spell caster classes more than anything.. I own all the expansion packs played and have beaten each on more than once
Emperor Devon
A most excellent game. I bought it a week or so ago, and at the moment I'm at chapter 3, in the creator race ruins. It's been great so far, although it is annoying how you have to rest all the time to use your spells again.
TheOssusKeeper
yeah, the resting system seems a bit annoying... but it's a relly good game... I've played all of the exp. packs and premium mods already, at least once and starting my second time through... the only problem I have with the PotSC mod is that you have to be connected to the internet in order to play it... it has to verify that you have the game in order for the game to unpack, save or load a game... i've got dial-up with one phone line, so it is a bit of a hassle because it's dial-up and I can only play the game at night while every one is asleep so the phone can be free for use... other then the net requirement for PotSC, it's a great premium mod... Vibro
I played NWN for the first time a few years back, but the game always crashed on me, and I was too lazy to return it . However, I recently purchased the "Deluxe Edition" which contains: NWN NWN: SoU NWN: Hou Now, I've almost complete the original and I haven't really given the others a proper go yet, but I'm sure they're great .
