Rogue15 Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 I just logged on, and I read the article on the AOL news thing. About time we nuked the bastard!!
BongoBob Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 I heard about it last night And I play too much splinter cell, I keep calling the guy Zerquesi(or however the hell you spell it)
TiE23 Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 And I play too much splinter cell, I keep calling the guy Zerquesi(or however the hell you spell it) Lol. But good news I guess. Don't know much about it ATM but sounds good.
SkinWalker Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/5059494.stm "Zarqawi died in a strike against an "isolated safe house" about 8km (five miles) north of Baquba at 1815 (1415 GMT) on Wednesday, officials said. [...] Zarqawi was identified through fingerprints, tattoos and known scars."
Datheus Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 I'd rather see these houses raided by Marines. Nothing would be more satisfying than to hear this guy had been worked over by 6 Marines and then thrown in jail. Oh well. I guess this is the next best thing. Unfortunately, another will probably just step up and take his place.
RoxStar Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 I don't see why we must proudly display the images of his dead body to the public. And I've heard people say things like 'we should behead him' and such. animals.
IG-64 Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 And I've heard people say things like 'we should behead him' and such. animals. Not saying we should behead him but, he's already dead, why should he care what we do with his body. But this is good news though.
Darth Groovy Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 It's always sad that somebody dies but this guy didn't deserve to live. I personally think we should've tried to take him alive just so we could have taken turns kicking his sorry @$$. You weren't the "sunny kid" in your class were you?
Sigundr Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 Oooh, burn Groovy. Did you dudes see the flub with Al-Zarqawi and the machine gun? that was some funny $#!t That one dude had to come over and cock the d@mn gun for him. Zarqawi obviously wasn't the top of his gun saftey class
Black Knight of Keno Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 Not saying we should behead him but, he's already dead, why should he care what we do with his body. Because even a terrorist is a human being, unlike the politicians and generals in the US try to tell us. Hopefully it'll speed up the end to this war against terrorism... It's getting redicilous >_>
Raevan Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 ok al zarqawi is dead but that doesent change much as we all know there are much more important bastardas and they should be killed fast if we want peace on this damm planet that we called Earth.....his death is a progress but there is much more to be done ( just my humble opinion) PEAce!!!!!
Black Knight of Keno Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 How about you "We want to force peace throught war" people would think that maybe drawing the soldiers out of muslim countries. It's obvious they don't want the American "peace". IMHO, if you truly want peace, you should think of a peaceful way to achieve it instead of going in guns blazing. [/my opinion]
manoman81 Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 You know, if we behead him, we become him. Someone probably has taken his place already. There's no point in doing rash things because we got 1 suspect.
IG-64 Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 Because even a terrorist is a human being, unlike the politicians and generals in the US try to tell us. Did US politicians and generals really capture and behead him? No. They simply did what they needed to do. They got rid of an evil man who was a menace to society. Sure he was a human being. He was once an innocent child like all of us. But instead of growing up in peace to the rest of the world, he grew up in hatred and killed many innocent people, and he needed to be stopped. Besides, I seriosuly doubt he would want your sympathy anyways.

Probably wouldn't because he has been brainwashed since childhood that he should die for a cause, which currently is the Jihad and getting USA out of their country
Sigundr Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 going along with Tepe, i think the worst punishment you could ever give to a terrorist, of that religion, is to lock him up in a cell and refuse to kill him.
rccar328 Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 I don't see why we must proudly display the images of his dead body to the public. Because if we didn't, our enemies would say that the claim that we killed Zarqawi was just propaganda.
TiE23 Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 "Aren't.. aren't you going to kill me or something?" "Nope." "Why not?" "Cuz." "Cause why?" "Have a good time for the next 50 years." *Shuts door* Ouch.
RoxStar Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 Because if we didn't, our enemies would say that the claim that we killed Zarqawi was just propaganda. Aye, but I said proudly. I seriously doubt the grown man sized version of this (graphic) is necessary to be shown to the public. Oh, and the bastard wasn't nuked.
razorace Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 I'm pretty sure those are for the new conference. Those things have a LOT of people there when big news breaks. IE, big pictures are needed so the people in the back of the room can see them too.
Lynk Former Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 Oh good, another martyr. That's pretty much it right there.
TK-8252 Posted June 9, 2006 Posted June 9, 2006 For those who say he should have been taken alive: people who have met with Zarqawi have said that he wears a suicide vest at all times, even when he sleeps. So unless you wanted to see a bunch of Marines get blown up along with him, just be glad he's gone...
Lynk Former Posted June 9, 2006 Posted June 9, 2006 The fact that he's gone doesn't change a thing, it's purely symbolic. The fact that he wore a suicide vest shows that they all know that it's more damaging to be captured rather than killed. Killed = martyr = good = continues their cause in some way.
