Commander Obi-Wan
I saw it the other day. I enjoyed it. I'd definitely recommend it.
igyman
When I see it, I will let you know. I think I am one of the biggest Smallville fans here at Ahto (and not for the same reasons that teeny-bopper fans of the show watch it). It is one of the most intelligently written tv series of modern times. Here at Ahto, yes. But, I know a guy who's just mad about Smallville and Superman, he uses SmallVille as his nick and is even planning on tattoing the Superman logo on his shoulder, if you visit KryptonSite forums (no this isn't a commercial) from time to time, you might even know him, 'cause he's there very often as far as I know. Yes it is one of the better newer production shows that I've watched, though the season five finale was a little disapointing, not in story, but in performance. Still, I can't wait 'till season six starts. As for the Superman movie, I'm still not sure if I'll watch it, the special effects look good, but I don' really know what's the story supposed to be. Mike Windu
I saw it, I loved it. I have no complaints at all about this movie and it's currently part of my top 10 movies. Brandon Routh looks really good as Supes.

Char Ell
I figured they canceled Smallville? Then you figured wrong. http://www.cwtv.com/ Smallville's sixth season is currently scheduled to launch in late September 2006.
REDJOHNNYMIKE
I kind of got tired of the show anyway. Owned??? It was alright, but it is raped by the glory that is Keira Knightley and her masterpiece "Pirates of the Caribbean" The one thing that annoyed me most about superman... He's dead. Oh wait, he's instantly in critical condition. I get that he has superpowers but that just felt weak. They probably could've worked the son into that but at least they didn't use Lois for some cliche "sleeping beauty" thing to snap him out of it
MdKnightR
I finally went to see it tonight. I have to admit that I am impressed! Brandon Routh played it so well, it seemed to me that the spirit of Christopher Reeve had possessed him. However, I still think that it would have been that much better if Tom Welling had been cast in the role. I figured they canceled Smallville? One word....BLASPHEMY!!! The Source
The director, producer, and writter of Superman: Returns tried to get the WB to cancel Smallvile. I am going to wait until it hits DVD. I would be more interested in a Smallville: Superman movie. Tom Welling looks more like Christopher. I also like Smallvile's Lex Luthor, for he is more down to Earth. Lex's personality in Smallville is non-comedy, and is more sadistic in nature.
Vaelastraz
I need you advice, shall i spent my hard earned money and go and see Superman returns in the cinema? Generally i am interested in every movie. Can superman returns compete with similar movies like spiderman 1 and 2, xmen123, fantastic 4? I dont know why, but out of all super heroes, super man has the most boring abilities. Is the movie worth the money?

itchythesamurai
I dont know why, but out of all super heroes, super man has the most boring abilities. "For most of his existence, Superman's famous arsenal of powers include flight, super strength, invulnerability, super speed, vision powers (including x-ray, heat, telescopic, infra-red, and microscopic vision), super photographic memory, super hearing, and super breath, which enables him to freeze objects by blowing on them." - Wikipedia Superman can do a whole lot of stuff, almost too much, that's why I find him kind of boring because it's hard to really threaten the guy. Still liked the movie though. (There is enough information on his powers alone to write a thorough research paper: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Powers%2C_abilities_and_equipment_of_Superman)

MdKnightR
A punk with a handgun loaded with Kryptonite bullets should work fine! Like in Smallville? That was a great episode! For those of you who missed it, Clark and Jonathan were in the fields when Clark heard a gun go off. As he saw the bullet coming, he instinctually went to grab it. Since it was a Kryptonite bullet, it pierced his hand and imbedded in his shoulder. Jonathan had to pull it out with a pair of needlenose pliers to save Clark's life! Awesome! Vaelastraz
The problem with supermans powers is that he seems to be able to do everything. He has the "standart" super hero abilities, and as cryptonite (whatever i is called in english..) is his only weakness, hm... Oh, I just remembered that there is also red cryptonit! Thats a bit more interesting ...
The Source
A punk with a handgun loaded with Kryptonite bullets should work fine! Lol... Yeah. That would work. The only reason why I didn't see the movie was because it was done before. The whole movie mirrors Superman I & II. That might be the movie's stregnth, but I really wanted to see something new. I do like the special effects to the movie, but it is the same old story. (This doesn't mean that I think it is bad.) I am holding judgement until I rent it. Superman needs something besides Kryptoknite to take him down. I am glad they are making his story (Smallville) more indepth. What I was hoping to see is a Lex that is intellegant and serious. I am not into the comedy Lex. If anyone remembers the comicbooks, Lex goes by the name Alexander, and he had a relationship with Supergirl. That Lex was pretty serious. I think they ignored everything that could have made Superman better. I would have loved to see a movie about Brainiac and Superman. Better yet, how about a movie that surrounds: Doomsday vrs. Superman. Doomsday gave him a run for his money, and brought him within seconds of death. It was believeable. Superman had to use a Krypton armor to regenerate. D.C. & W.B. are definately going in a good direction with Batman. However, the writter wasn't from Hollywood, and they built several parts of the movie from a garage. Now, that is what I call dedication. I love it. The movie had a serious tone to it, and you forgot that you were watching a Batman movie. That rocked. Actually, it doesn't mirror it as much as you might think. Anyway, how can you say for sure if you haven't seen it yet? Superman needs something besides Kryptoknite to take him down. Not that it addresses this issue in the movies, but Superman also has another known weakness...Magic. He has (almost) always been susceptible to arcane forces. And, of course, his emotional weakness for the human race. As for Lex, Kevin Spacey does a good job not being the comical Lex. He strikes a good balance between the Gene Hackman and Michael Rosenbaum versions of the character. But, still, the most serious Lex Luthor would have to be the one voiced by Clancy Brown in Justice League Unlimited.
