Diego Varen Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 ^^^ Read the title. ^^^ For me, LucasForums has helped me in life. For example, LF has helped me how to hyperlink words/pictures, so when you click on them, they take you to another page. I used this knowledge in one of my IT classes and not many people knew how it, if not at all. So has LF helped you? Post here.
CSI Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 Well, sorry, not much. But the most importantly, it gave me the idea of combining CSI and Star Wars...and esp. the friends such as Pottsie, Dark_Lady, JM12, and many more! I believe it helped me within my spirit, but not physical.
Rabish Bini Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 Taht's what I wanted to know. How do you make it so when u click a word it sends you to another site. Can sum1 tell me please!

Rabish Bini Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 Did you watch the movie I posted. Friggin hilarious.
Hayden Kered Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 yeah I watched it. It was ok, IMO. On topic LF also helped make my game play for K1 & K2 alot more better with every ones great mods.
Rabish Bini Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 I can't beleive Chuck Norris didn't win. On topic-LF has helped me in the same way as Pottsie, just then, and made me a faster typer.
igyman Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 Well, let's see, LF, or rather its members, helped me get into writing fics, also, thanks to LF members I've started to read SW books and those I've read aren't bad at all. The forums also serve me as an everyday practicing tool for my english.
Rexraptor2000 Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 It helped me in finding new friends, and maintaining my typing skills.
RC-1162 Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 my typing speed has increased loads on a more serious note, i've made a whole bunch of pals here and thats a good thing too, because i'll need all their support to help me deal with the impending doom in store for me by mid-december. the dread is literally leaking out of me. anyway, i've also become a much, much better writer than what i was before with all the feedback and help i've gotten.
Sabretooth Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 LucasForums helped me in numerous ways. it got me connected to the world, and I could find out problems and queries the world over and post my own and come up with answers. I learned a lot here at LF, reveling in the knowledge passed around. I could finally put my writing hobby to use and get judged by some sensible peers. I could hone my creativity and make myself better at Photoshop and make use of my existing skills. I believe LF is a community closer than most and a very cozy, warm place to be in. Plus, it is one of the few places inhabited by Rhett's infamous elves.
HerbieZ Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 It's helped me. I can't physically say how, but it has. I have never stuck to a forum for more than two weeks.
Hallucination Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 My skill in grammar-trolling has increased since I joined, which you can see here: My typing speed has increased loads. On a more serious note, I've made a whole bunch of pals here and that's a good thing too, because I'll need all their support to help me deal with the impending doom in store for me by mid-December. The dread is literally leaking out of me. Anyway, I've also become a much, much better writer than what I was before with all the feedback and help I've gotten. But I wish I had something to complain about other than punctuation and capitalisation...

Um, maybe I don't know as much grammer as you Hallucination, but aren't you supposed to capitalize that second to last 'i' you corrected? The one I underlined.
Hallucination Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 Indeed I was, I must have just put the tags around it and left it unchanged. @RC: Shut up.
Sabretooth Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 i beg your pardon? what did i say? He made a rather embarrassing grammatical error while correcting your grammatical errors and was hoping you wouldn't notice. I, being the true expert in English grammar here, noticed this, though.
igyman Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 There can be only one True English Grammar Expert here (me )!
RC-1162 Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 we're deviating here. lf hasn't helped anyone else?
Darth InSidious Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 Nonsense! None of you are even English @Topic: Um, not really, unless having a new way to waste my time counts as 'help'
Rexraptor2000 Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 we're deviating here. lf hasn't helped anyone else? I believe you were supposed to put a 't' where the f is in 'if'. @Sabretooth: Who was the one that noticed it first? Hmm? @On Topic: It also is interesting to read these threads about current evets. I'm not much of a debater myself, so I just tend to watch.
milo Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 I came to LF...where I met jmac...who introduced me to 4chan...which was about the time I became completely corrupted.
