jon_hill987
It is almost that time of year again when they star showing children's films on telly all day. But what is your fave "on every Christmas suitable for all the family" film? Is it Willow? Labyrinth? 101 Dalmatians? Home Alone? Mine has to be "The Dark Crystal", I watched that so many times when I was a kid. I have just bought myself the "collectors edition" from Amazon and I must say it is still worth watching if only for the detail in the sets; it is amazing, today's CGI movies look rubbish in comparison. jebbers
Dark Crystal is awesome! "Looks like Gelfling. Smells like Gelfling. Must be Gelfling." http://www.yar.nu/macke/fizzgig2.jpg how could you not like Fizzgig? but id have to say Nightmare Before Christmas. Works for both Halloween and Christmas! jon_hill987
Thing about Labyrinth is that Bowie really freaks me out. I think it is the infeasibly tight trousers he wares in it. *shudders*
BongoBob
In no particular order, Labyrinth, The Dark Crystal, Nightmare Before Christmas, and Robin Hood, are the ones that come to mind. EDIT: Also, Muppet Treasure Island. I'm gonna go home and either find my VHS, or just download the damn thing. I wish I had that on DVD ;_;

Commander Obi-Wan
Nightmare Before Christmas, Home Alone, The Grinch. Those are the only few I'd see more than once and I see Home Alone every Christmas Eve.
Titanius Anglesmith
Home Alone 2 was way better than Home Alone 1 IMO. I've never even bothered with the 3rd or 4th one.

jon_hill987
Johnny Depp Or Gene Wilder version? The Johnny Depp version was called Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, just like the book.
Mike Windu
As far as I'm concerned, the Gene Wilder version is superior. Depp version is good for laughs, though.

DarthAve
Johnny Depp Or Gene Wilder version? Wilder. I mean, the new one is cool and all. Nice music, squirrels, very colorful, deep message. But the old school one. YOU CAN'T BEAT THE OOMPA LOOMPAS FROM THAT ERA. And the creepy boatride was cool too. "There's no earthly way of knowing. Which direction we are going..." Titanius Anglesmith
I've got to admit- the Oompa Loompas and their singing is what makes me want to watch that movie every time it comes on TV. Nothing beats those guys.
MrWally
I hated the Oompa Loompas in the original.
