I have the new Harry Potter book *spoilers without tags*

Recommended Posts

I have no complaints, though a lot of these spoilers have been circulated around the net for quite a while so they aren't exactly new.

1 question: Do you know Stephen Colbert? I know he has an advanced copy. He likes to show it off on his show. From what he says, Hermione is a dude and Harry wakes up in bed next to Sharon Dorothy, I believe *lollberblades!*

If you use firefox I recommend you select a random page, copy it into something online, then use control-f to find words with British/Canadian/Australian/New Zealand/South African/etc spellings, like 'honour' or 'colour' or 'practise'. Or, if you don't want to do teh verk, you could send it to Hall for him to take a lerk. Savez? ;)

I'll comply, but with tags, to spare everyone else the unexpected misery. My review is copy/pasted from Ahto:

Everything you said was correct Chase. Are you so sure it was a fake?

Random place to start, but why the HELL did Fred have to die? It seemed an utterly stupid and pointless thing for Rowling to do. It did NOT help the plot advance.

Mad-Eye however... saw that one coming for ages. I'm actually glad it happened, to have someone important die, but not someone you really cared about.

Tonks and Lupin, on the other hand... I suppose their deaths came about to further convince Harry of the need to turn himself in to Lord Voldemort.

Hedwig!!! Onoz Hedwig!!! The only death that made my eyes water to be honest. I almost put the book down right then and there after reading about Moody getting hit, Hedwig incinerated, and then Hagrid falling to his doom? Good thing I was perplexed to read on and Hagrid survived.

Dobby! Omg! I always knew Dobby would die saving his hero, Harry Potter. 'Nuff said.

I absolutely LOVED the battle of Hogwarts though; aside from Fred's somewhat pathetic departure, I had always hoped that everything would end in or near the castle.

It was amusing to read on the final conflict in the Great Hall, when Molly jumped into the duel with Bellatrix, and after nearly killing her daughter, gets her ass kicked by Molly. Never would have seen that coming. Haha.

The absolutely final confrontation between Harry and Voldemort was way to brief. Sure the Elder Wand was rightfully Harry's at this point, but I expected, based on the dialogue prior to Voldemort's last spell, that Voldemort was still convicted enough to put up a real fight.

What? That sounds too stupid to be true. If he did have a kid who did he have it with and why did she bang him?

They didn't say.

I'm still having trouble believing it's over. I mean I'm satisfied with the end. Theres no better way to end it. But I'm still a bit in denial. I know it's over. I know it's gone, but a tiny piece of my brain is still saying no.

I was most sad about Fred dying.
