Malpense
Kotor Files is the Kotor Modding section on Filefront, no? It's most definitely on Kotor Files, namely here . Silly, silly Malpense. *Weep*, there is much confusion in my poor mind...
southern_fox
There is a certain "wow" feeling playing through the first player-made module ever built. Now if only we had a lot more people doing this... I can't wait for further updates.
Quanon
Thanks for the tutorials, I was looking in the tutorials section and not the modelling section. Now I have them and have begun educating myself. However, I still have one question...From the posts, it seems like Quanon used a new version of Kaurora (that has not yet been released). Is this new version required, and if so, where can I get it? Yes, Magnusll provided me with updated versions of Kaurora, I'm being used as test subject Though I'm certain if you send him a PM he"ll gladly sent you his latest. The only differance is that the version I have , apply's the UVWs correctly . The older Kaurora went a bit wonky on that . But your Meshes/ Models should be handled the same. And about the TSL thing I'm not sure, I haven't tested it yet . EDIT : Been a real dumb*ss again , yes, TSL level building is possible : at the rightside of Kaurora are these 2 radiobuttons . Kotor1 or Kotor2.
magnusll
Right...but will the models work in K2? I feel like they're pretty much the same, but even minor differences may cause the models not to work. Does anyone know if there are any variations in the way K1 and K2 handles new, custom models? K2 models are pretty much identical to K1 ones, except that in the header of trimesh nodes there are two additional, as yet unknown, 4-byte fields. KAurora is designed to be able to handle this; you can simply select whether you want to create K1 or K2 models in the main window. This said, here's a fair warning: as far as I know, no one has tried the program to create a K2 area yet so you could encounter new bugs in the process. If you need the latest version (which would be the best starting point for the task, as it contains several bug corrections), PM me with your email address and I'll send it your way. Guess I"ll be testing this later anyway , got some crazy plans in the head Anyway a mini-update , got myself a forcewall . Used the classic Bench to for the Replacer business in MDLops , adjusted the 2DA file and gave it a Lndspdr1 blocking walkmesh Though I'll change the texture , its way to bleak ! @Magnusll : Do you think Kaurora could handle .pwk , to my suprise that is the name of the Walkmeshes of Placeables . Though I doubt their're that differant ? Maybe they have clue aswell to this camera thing ... Screeny :

Not until I write the necessary code. But I thought Kotor Tool was able to handle pwk files?
Darth InSidious
It does. The importing/exporting, anyway. The actual work of altering the shape of the walkmesh has to be done with notepad and Max, however.

Miltiades
Very nice! I would have tested out your Beta, if I hadn't been so lazy to just delete everything in my override and thus screwing up my save game.
Darth Xander
Ooh...very Stargate Atlantis . Looks nice. Let's hope there isn't a Wraith behind there also Quanon I am just going to come out and say it... What is with the Jawas?
Quanon
Ooh...very Stargate Atlantis . Looks nice. Héhéhé , where do you think we got the cake ? Very nice! I would have tested out your Beta, if I hadn't been so lazy to just delete everything in my override and thus screwing up my save game. I'll have to check that TSL patcher install thingy , if I'm right that solves 2DA screw ups . @Xander : Jawas ? There'aint no Jawas in the Temple anymore Normally ? Ctrl Alt Del
Unbelitastic!!! Quanon, you may think you're modding, but you're actually making history on Kotor! A completely new space, made from zero? I'm unsure if I would even have the courage for this. Took me some time to read through all the posts, but you're actually progressing on this at an amazing speed. Keep the good work. And I owe you a test of the beta of this mod. Never thought I would be in the history books of any kind. Well I didn't make all the progress on my own, once again a fellow modder has helped me out ! Enter : DSTONEY642000, the men who has the power to create amazing mini-maps that actually work ! Yes, there's the "fog of war" that dissapears when you explore the surroundings, the little arrow moves correctly. Its all amazing and well... just great ! Not like my weird attempts . Have a look people : Now isn't that just great ! So everyone give a big : woot for DSTONEY !
Taak Farst
It is a really good mod, but i found the temple quite shor and i recommend you make a quest for it to make it better, if u had beter stuff like that u would probably have more downloads

I'm sure I mentioned a couple of times that the Temple is small. And I don't need 1000+ download hits to feel happy, I do this because I love creating things, not to be "Mister Popular". But, yeah, it needs some polishing.
xrefusex
Plus, don't forget that Quanon has pretty much just released the first user-made area. Hopefully other modders will have a go at user-made areas themselves and then... well, you see where I'm going with this!

Hopefully other modders will have a go at user-made areas themselves and then... well, you see where I'm going with this! There aren't many other modders here I can think of that would be able to pull something like this off. Inyri and oldflash perhaps... It's really difficult to do and takes ages as well. I don't know where Quanon got the patience!
Miltiades
Again, great work Quanon. @Wolv: Agreed that a quest would prolong the mod, but I don't think we can ask more of Quanon at this time. Should this area be open for anyone to mod and adjust (I don't know what position Quanon takes in this), someone might be willing to put a quest in it, or maybe people will even reskin it and make some new area! Darth Payne
I agree Quanon, great work. Would it be possible to add a few doors that at this stage can not be opened? If it could be done, the temple can be expanded on at a later time.
