El Sitherino Posted December 1, 2007 Posted December 1, 2007 The only way to appropriately lay him to rest would be to have his corpse jump the Grand Canyon. RIP Knievel.
Rev7 Posted December 1, 2007 Posted December 1, 2007 What more can be said other than: R.I.P. Evel Knievel.
PoiuyWired Posted December 1, 2007 Posted December 1, 2007 Well, R.I.P.Evel Knievel. It is unfortunate that you do not have the chance to find your own end in one of your daring stunts.
JoeDoe 2.0 Posted December 1, 2007 Posted December 1, 2007 R.I.P. Evel Knievel That guy was a hero to both kids and adults, he will be remembered.
mimartin Posted December 1, 2007 Posted December 1, 2007 The only way to appropriately lay him to rest would be to have his corpse jump the Grand Canyon. RIP Knievel. Alternatively, allow him to jump Snake River Canyon again without the malfunctioning parachute. We all say goodbye to a true showman and the pure definition of a daredevil. Robert Craig Knievel Jr. inspired more children in the 70’s to injury then any other person. He also inspired one of the best toys of the 70’s with the Evel Knivel Stunt Cycle.
Ghost Down Posted December 1, 2007 Posted December 1, 2007 R.I.P. Evel Btw, how did he die? - Ghost Down
Jason Skywalker Posted December 1, 2007 Posted December 1, 2007 Diabetes and pulmonary fibrosis. R.I.P Evel.
Aash Li Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 I heard he died this morning on the news, I was kinda sad. I always liked watching him break his bones when I was growing up. lol
Serpentine Cougar Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 Am I the only one who's never heard of him? Was it type 1 or type 2 diabetes? Anyway, my condolences to his family and friends.
Rev7 Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 Am I the only one who's never heard of him? Evel Knievel a 'famous' stunt-man. He tried to jump a canyon...I am not sure which one though, maybe the Grand Canyon...no it was Snake River Canyon, ID in 1974, anyways he tryed to do this stunt with a rocket powered motorcycle. He also jumped the fountains in front of Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas, and may other obstacles. He was known to...say 'crash-land' a lot, resulting in many broken bones. Info from this page
Aash Li Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 I remember seeing the tv show about him jumping the fountains in Vegas. heh I dont remember the specifics, but I was up, watching the tv when it was on. :3
