Darth InSidious Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 Possibly not the best period in which to choose to be crowned from a media point of view, given the current glow around President Obama, but it would be a little remiss to fail to congratulate the new king of Bhutan, and head of the world's newest constitutional monarchy. King Wangchuck is also, interestingly, the worlds youngest reigning monarch. Source King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, 28, an Oxford-educated bachelor, becomes the world's youngest monarch. He has become head of state of the world's newest democracy after his father abdicated in 2006 as Bhutan changed to a constitutional monarchy. Bhutan held its first democratic elections for a new parliament and prime minister in March. The coronation of the Buddhist nation's fifth hereditary king fell in what is known in Bhutan as the month of the male earth rat.
Sabretooth Posted November 7, 2008 Posted November 7, 2008 Aye, I saw this yesterday. I like him, looks rather cool for a king.
Darth InSidious Posted November 7, 2008 Author Posted November 7, 2008 Well, he's relatively young, for starters.

HerbieZ Posted November 7, 2008 Posted November 7, 2008 Ace. I love the Himalayas. I'm still convinced that lost city is in there somewhere.
