It's not the same imo Ends up that the TV series has more Star Wars feeling than the prequels. And is getting some good reviews too. As for this game, well, I wasn't expecting too much. The show itself is better than the first two Star Wars movies, and the Lego star wars rocked, and so did the demo. The clones are OK, better than Jar-Jar (shivers). Gungans need to be obliterated somehow. My reasons behind this is that they aren't in the later movies. (Ok that is just an excuse but still) But there are a lot of lame, cheesy, stupid, aspects to the show. Like Ahsoka's nicknames, and perfectly lightsided Anakin. From what I've heard, that's on purpose. After all, for some reason he was called during the war, the Hero with no Fear. And the movie had an atrocious story line. If you see them as four episodes combined, and not a Star Wars movie, it's not that bad. Andd this second season is great. It was too hard to pick myself out from the others, and it was waaaay too easy to take down those hordes of battle droids. The Jedi level was just...terrible. The combat was lame, and the characters' voices, (which are usually well-acted in the show), sounded...distinctly bored. Krome hasn't impressed me. Oh, well. They have extremely low ratings, but I find myself playing them again for the hundredth time. And I personally love the new 3D platforming engine that LEGO Star Wars introduced. Another thing that helps me to play the demo of the new game, is that my whole family are star wars fans, and my little five year old sister adores Ahsoka. Republic Commando was further use of this thinking. Agreed. I miss those days. That being said, I don't hate the new clone wars. It has some good episodes and action. It's not the same imo I have fond memories of reading the Dark Horse Republic comics, and I was always wowed by the stories, art, and dark themes. Stuff like the Battle of Kamino, Jabim, and everything related to the twisted life of Quinlan Vos was awesome! Says the dude with Nahdar as his avatar. I like the Clone Wars! Lots of action, and Anakin shows his corruption more in season 2 (Unless Ashley Eckstien is wrong). And you've got to admit, Cad Bane is pretty sweet! Cad Bane is climbing up the list of favorite Villans. And if you watch the series long enough, you will see homages to the old movies, and other things that are meant for the adults. One of the funny moments, is in the episode Bombad Jedi, where Jar Jar stars along side C3-PO. Jar Jar represents the younger audiences humor, and C3-PO represents the older audiences humor. It shows the two of them bicker, much like the old and young audiences do in real life. Another mature theme in the show, is in the episodes Jedi Crash and Defenders of the Peace. True, but there was the work they were likely doing for ROTS, and it seems that everything else besides just gets a date to ship, and if it isn't ready, "oh well". Seems to fit, since they even forbade Obsidian to make a patch that would complete the game. But more on topic, It is possible that other things other than Clone Wars material is being worked on, but it seems more priority is placed on things relating to the movies and such, and not as much to other things.
