Mandalore The Shadow Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 Is this perhaps the Mandalore we are going to see in TOR I found him on Wookieepedia and his picture looks like those I have see come out related to TOR so could any one shead some light on this :
Trench Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 Yeah, he was in the latest update on the TOR site. I dislike the fact that he has no visor (perhaps I'm being too anal).
CommanderQ Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 Well, he looks cool, but you're right, Te Mirdala Mand'alor, the lack of visor makes him less Mandalorian:D I hope something happens to him, so a more capable Mand'alor{one with a visor} could take over:D
Lord of Hunger Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 Mandalore the Gladiator...somehow that's actually...new. Innovative even. Well done Bioware!
RedHawke Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 That image makes me hear the line shouted... "Are you not entertained!" I can't imagine why though.
Astor Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 He doesn't look strong or bad enough to be a Mandalore - my bet is it's just a variant helmet for regular guys.
adamqd Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 (perhaps I'm being too anal). Not at all, I think the Gladiator/Conan the destroyer look is Rubbish, Mandalore needs a closed Visor. Or at least a much better looking open one lol.
Mandalore The Shadow Posted July 20, 2009 Author Posted July 20, 2009 Yeha i like him all eccept the lack of a visor but does anyone else think he looks too much like a Neo Crusader?
CommanderQ Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 Well, his armor is obviously Neo-crusader....they didn't advance once in the last thousand years?
Trench Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 I'm glad they have at least kept some reminder of the fighting force they were during the times of the true Mand'alors. The ones who had names in Mando'a like: Te Kandosii Mand'alor, and had the mask of Mand'alor. In other words: Neo-Crusader armor = Good thing.
Mandalore The Shadow Posted July 20, 2009 Author Posted July 20, 2009 I suppose thats a good think they are moving away too much from the true mandalorians
Gurges-Ahter Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 He doesn't look strong or bad enough to be a Mandalore - my bet is it's just a variant helmet for regular guys. I saw a shirtless Mandalore in one of the videos on swtor.com - he looked ridiculously ripped. Not at all, I think the Gladiator/Conan the destroyer look is Rubbish, Mandalore needs a closed Visor. Or at least a much better looking open one lol. I think part of Mandalore's storyline revealed in some of the swtor.com content involves winning over a Gladiator-like arena on Geonosis or some similar planet. That would jive with the outfit. Whether or not we like the storyline is a different issue altogether.
Master Shake Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 he looked ridiculously ripped. You mean like this. http://admin.moguling.com/Upload/baseballblog247.com/steroids.jpg
Gurges-Ahter Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 You mean like this. http://admin.moguling.com/Upload/baseballblog247.com/steroids.jpg More like this: http://www.nerve.com/CS/blogs/scanner/2008/05/16-22/steroids.bmp
Master Shake Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 More like this: http://www.nerve.com/CS/blogs/scanner/2008/05/16-22/steroids.bmp Not buff enough.
Ztalker Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 That image makes me hear the line shouted... "Are you not entertained!" I can't imagine why though. Mando's have an Australian accent. That must be the reason...
RedHawke Posted August 8, 2009 Posted August 8, 2009 Mando's have an Australian accent. That must be the reason... True, they do...
Te Je'karta Mand'alor Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 i agree with te mirdala and commander Q - he'd look better with a visor
bally3000 Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 i think Mand'alor needs too look more, battle worthy, more fierce, tough i don't think this guy looks scary at all. and a mandos needs to look scary. but i guess when i think of Mand'alor i instantly think or boba, he was a scary man but like the others said the lack of visor and the gladiator helmit doesn't really suit Mand'alor, maybe if they gave him no helmit like, canderous he suited it well. I liked what i could see of the amour but a nice helmit with a visor would be nice, maybe like KoTOR I & II
Gurges-Ahter Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 I think he might get a visor. I think the story is that he started in a gladiator-like arena and kicked some serious a$$, winning his freedom and inspiring mandalorians across the galaxy. that pic might be from his gladiatorial days and not from his days as the mandalore.
Prime Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 That image makes me hear the line shouted... "Are you not entertained!" I can't imagine why though. Ha! I was going to post exactly the same thing. When did we arrive in Rome???
Gurges-Ahter Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 Ha! I was going to post exactly the same thing. When did we arrive in Rome??? It's a similar storyline too... The general who became a slave... The slave who become a gladiator... The gladiator who defied an emperor... The slave who become a gladiator... The gladiator who become Mandalore... Ok, so it's not exact, but it is eerily similar, especially when you consider the armor. I still think he'll get a visor though, once he becomes Mandalore.
RedHawke Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 Ha! I was going to post exactly the same thing. Great minds think alike. When did we arrive in Rome???
