Pretty sure me suggesting this model tweak is a sign I need to go to bed, but I'll post it any way:

Those of you skilled at altering models, is there a way to make the HK model look more like this:

Wasn't gonna worry about VOs, unless some woman wants to re-record all of HK's lines.

I think what I was thinking last night was have "her" as a puppet for HK. write in a line for Bao saying something like "Hey HK, look what i made from the scraps." HK threatens to kill Bao, and 69 or what ever designation she gets starts following him around.

Haha, yeah, that actually really does sound like a good idea.

And, actually, you could just edit the VO's to make them sound like a woman.

If anyone gets the model working I would be happy to attempt at making those.

I got to say, this actually sounds like a very cool idea. :thmbup1: The only problem I can imagine would be with dialog, if you plan on 69 and 47 interacting. We could most likely find a voice actress to play the female HK, but we'd be stuck with the pre-recorded HK-47 lines.

I wouldn't be too difficult to work around the lines that HK-47 already has, but I don't think there would be much possibility for "love dialog" as Slstoev suggested.

But I definitely think there should be some sort of sidequest involving the new HK. And if she is a puppet for 47, she could probably be given a pretty good amount of story, if anyone were up to the task of writing a bit of backstory for her. :)

DLC not to sound like a grump, but way to sum up the whole thread. :dozey::migraine:

Right now i'm not worried about the story behind her, but more focused on the "can the HK model be altered to appear more female?" aspect of this request. If it's possible, sweet, we can discuss where to use her when she's ready to be added.

How much can one modify the HK model (Or HK "supermodel" [no pun intended] if that would be more appropriate, as I don't know if it's a sub or super)? I've never so much as dug around into the editing tools and such - heck the last time I tried model editing was 2002-ish...

How about reactivating THAT instead of HK-51?

Right before you get to the factory, Kreia leaves your party, right?

Why not make HK-69 a recruitable character that fills Kreia's gap after Kreia leaves?

So, guys, is it possible to make the model? I'm asking because I love the idea and I have some ideas of my own that include female HK units.

1. Way to raise the dead, you necromancer! :)

2. I've recently started learning to model, so I might, but not for sure, look into it.

It's good to know the topic ain't completely dead, since you might look into it.

I intent to post a thread about a mod that will include many HKs, and one of the characters I'm thinking of is a female HK unit. I asked if it is possible to make a female so that you guys save me the trouble before posting my idea, in case the female HK is impossible to make.

I'd like to say right here that I welcome modellers' criticism about my over-simplifying the process...

It's entirely possible, just maybe not up to those same standards as the reference picture. One could do most of the dirty work by moving a few vertices(plural form of vertex) around to make HK-47 thinner and more compact.

After that it gets a bit more complex, if they wanna be close to the reference pic. They can probably do those shoulder extensions(the part that jumps outward from the collar bone), but I'm not sure about the chest or the do-hickies on the elbows. The hip extensions(the part that jumps outward from the pelvis) shouldn't be too hard...
