Boba Rhett Posted December 15, 2009 Posted December 15, 2009 Greetings all! It has been a while since my last posting and for that I do apologize. I will also try to get some wedding pictures on here soon. The recent coupling of myself with another has made this holiday season all the more special as I was finally able to put up my own family Christmas tree. This matter was complicated, however, by two trouble making kittens lovingly known here to for as the Wasabi Bros. The Wasabi Bros, you see, have a great affinity for climbing trees and on that joyous day that was the day my newly minted wife and I finished tasseling our last branch and sickling what few sickles we had, they struck. Oh sweet baby Jesus did they strike. It was so bad that we actually considered just throwing out the tree but after a few hours with a pair of needle nose those cats squealed like bottlenose dolphins the tree was back to working order with the only major casualty being the complete shattering of our angel's face. We searched far and wide for a replacement head to no avail. It was on this sweet and sour precipice of failure, when my wife and I believed that all hope had been extinguished, that I found my solution. .
Darth Avlectus Posted December 15, 2009 Posted December 15, 2009 Awesome Angel Rhett. Couldn't have done better myself, homes.
MrWally Posted December 15, 2009 Posted December 15, 2009 Totally epic. I'm sure Jesus would approve.
Totenkopf Posted December 15, 2009 Posted December 15, 2009 Wel, looky, looky, Rhett just created himself a new smilie. Too bad about the angel's face. Now, did you call them the Wasabi brothers b/c that's what you served them up with after the initial fiasco.
Samuel Dravis Posted December 15, 2009 Posted December 15, 2009 Rhett, I just have to say this is amazing.
BongoBob Posted December 15, 2009 Posted December 15, 2009 I <3 you Rhett EDIT: This tree would kick your tree's ass: Well, unless your tree has good enough reflexes to dodge when it blinks. Source
IG-64 Posted December 15, 2009 Posted December 15, 2009 That's awesome. No really, it is. The dress makes it. [Edit] Here's our 10-foot tree. Click for full res. Lights on (wiener dog for scale): Lights off: Also, ignore the paint samples. And oh yeah:
IG-64 Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 Some more pics (featuring awesome wrapping paper):
TiE23 Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 *Sees IG's Christmas tree photos. Raises a 3d ornament.* (Bust out the reds'n'blues if you got 'em!) (The tree isn't that great, not enough lights and not enough ornaments to be honest.)
Darth Groovy Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 Well hell, long as we are whipping out the damn Tree pics... Looks like a pretty Christmas Tree! But if you look closer..... It's 100% pure Hallmark Star Wars! What makes this tree special, is that I have never purchased a single ornament for this tree. All of them have been gifts. Last year when I took the tree down I had exactly 84 Star Wars ornaments. This year who knows...
MrWally Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 That's actually incredibly awesome, Grooves. I guess your friends know what you like
Hermie Posted December 25, 2009 Posted December 25, 2009 My tree might not be very geeky, but at least it's real Scandinavian pine, from the forest, not those measly plastic thingys:
Kain Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 Mav...thats a bit...uh...how to put this nicely... Thats probably the single most disturbing avatar of alcoholism I've ever seen...and my friend has an octa-beer-bong.
