That area is for Ryloth and I'm sorry harark1, Coruscant won't be in Shadows of the Empire. As much as I love that planet too, that one isn't being added.

The big area that i'm working on is made for the environment of Ryloth, a volcanic planet. To give you an idea you will running on a plateau, through a tunnel, and around a... well I wonder what you guys will think if I hold out on that last detail?

Because I'm in a good mood today I'll go ahead and tell you, a volcano.

-----UPDATE-----

Ok everyone, I know it's been a while since the last update and I think it's high time you guys have one. Today's update is the discussion of a new system which I am almost done making; alternative introductions.

When you start out you will find yourself aboard a small freighter ship, as to what you're doing there? I'm keeping that hush hush for now. What happens is that every player, no matter how many times you start a new game, you will always start out in this small freighter. However depending on what class you pick in the beginning you will leave the freighter to travel to one of three new areas.

The starting classes are the Fallen Exile, the Rogue Jedi, and the Imperial Shadow. Each as always have their own unique abilities and now take you to their own unique locations in the SOTE universe.

This means that now rather than going from the Tantive IV to the Devastator to Ansion as we have originally designed it for you go:

The Freighter to

Sleheyron (Fallen Exile)

Naboo (Rogue Jedi)

The Devastator/the Tantive IV (Imperial Shadow)

Ansion

So the Freighter to Sleheyron, Naboo, or the Devastator/Tantive IV to Ansion.

Then on Ansion each class will have their own unique plots but then later merge together. So all in all, the plots split on the Freighter and then merge together about halfway into Ansion.

Even though each class is doing something completely different you still did the things you did in the past such as become the last surviver of the original 501st military division but from then on it changes. You have different backgrounds in recent years but each class still has the same background many years ago.

As of now the main plots for Sleheyron, Naboo, and the Devastator/Tantive IV are complete and the plots for Ansion about 45% complete. Soon we will have everything merged back together and on our way to the next planet...

Wow! That is alot of extra work your taking on there! Thats three different planets you have to play 3 times to see them all and if you want to do all the choices you have to play each of them multiple times! Great job har! im realy intrested in what other plans you have to add into this mod.

Those different paths sound very good! (i'm hoping those planets won't be available to visit later on, so as to keep the uniqueness of each beginning...).

They won't be. You'll have to play three times as three different classes in order to explore all the options. I'll also say that the things you'll be doing on each planet are completely unique to the planet as well and it's not just the same missions in a different area.

Dak couldn't have said it better. Also yes, in order to see all three planets you must start three new games. You won't be able to play all of them in one play through no matter what.

Unless you're one of those evil warpers who go everywhere so they can spoil the game for themselves ;)

But yes, you cannot visit every planet in one playthrough without cheating. And dont worry. I know you're thinking "Oh noes! without being able to play all the planets, the game wont have as much content!". Well, since each class has a totally different story, we're not going to make any class have any less content or a playthrough that's less fun than the last one, nor will they only take 1-2 hours to complete. They will feel like you are playing a full-length game, because you ARE playing a full-length game. That is how this mod is a step up from the vanilla TSL. You now have 6 different paths you can take-instead of just two. You can choose one class with a unique story and choose to play as Light Side or Dark Side, then choose to play as another class with a unique story, play as, Light/Dark etc. This gives your game much more replay value when you can play a different story 6 times. This is definitely going to give you more freedom of your choices than TSL does.

Ok, great news everyone. I finally sat down the other day and figured out how to make lip files, which are the files that makes the lips move for characters during conversation. This means that we are ready to start voice overs. So any volunteers please send me a PM that tells me your gender, age, and accent. Also please let me know if you can do different voice overs by using sound boards or sythesizers (I think that's what they are called) programs used to make your voice sound different.

Also right now I already have a few character dialog written out for voice actors to voice. THAT DOESN'T MEAN THERE AREN'T OTHERS PENDING FOR ME TO PREPARE!!! At the moment I need:

Female: 1

Male: 7

Selkath: 1 - I need someone who can voice this character with a Selkath-like accent but in english words.

Imperial Soldier: 1 - Remember that they have the muffled voice due to the helmet.

Also I'm going to have a competition for companions because I want the best I can get since they are so important. Right now I'm ready for 1 female, 1 selkath, and 2 male.

A male party member could be a mandalorian. I'm going to be tanning at the beach really soon so I don't really have time to type up a bio.

I also voiced the governor of Ansion, so incase you need more VO's, feel free to PM me.

Okay, I finished my bio. His name is Hirdon Bralor, a respected warrior of the Bralor clan. He is a mercenary whose ancestors killed dozens of Jedi in the Mandalorian Wars. He has little respect for both the Empire or force-sensitives, and has a gruff personality. He wields two ancient Bralor Heavy Blaster Pistols, ancient weapons used by the Bralor clan for generations (a Bralor heavy pistol design).

LordDeathRay - Remember that this is during the Original Triolgoy era, the Mandalorian Wars was around four thousand years before SOTE takes place.

Slstoev - Boba Fett? I'm not sure if he will make an appearance or not, I haven't decided yet.

ATTENTION ALL MODDERS:

I need a good hex editor who will help me hex edit my modules so that they can be reskinned but not allowing the skins to affect the original areas. I can hex areas but it just seems that it only works about 50% of the time without getting the game to crash on me and frankly I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. If I can get somebody to help me out with this area it would be a tremendous help.

Either way I still need to play around with the idea. I'm actually looking for brand spanking new backgrounds so that we will have a little repeats from KOTOR and TSL as possible. I'm making no promises but I will try and play around with the idea.

That depends, what modding capabilities do you have?

I'm most capable with Dialogues, but I can HEX Edit when it comes to completely reskinning modules only. And it would have to be reskinning the entire module. I could also try at Voice Acting.
