Sometimes its just nice to see things like that.

I know personally I strive for quality skins because I myself use them and I am usually a customer of my own work :p

PS the armor skins can be separated from the robes without too much trouble.

If you're talking about the movie robes, I kinda agree though that did not stop me from making skins for the model, I just would personally prefer... I dunno, more distinct variety with the robe and armor content is the goal and whatever ends up working best for the longest, ya know?

This has got me thinking about more mods. What if I had the default master robes, like as included, and then the tunics are like the Dantooine Jedi NPCs from KotOR 1? And like just equalize the variations between the two models... what do you guys think? A new robes mod, and maybe also a little further refining of the armors just for my own critical eye.

example of the robes I was talking about:

I will also attempt to do more Nihilus content adding.

My personal preference would be to maximize the amount of robes you can actually wear. I don't personally like the Trayus Robe models, but I'll be damned if I don't say the skinning is top notch!

If it were up to me, I'd actually do something like this:

Padawan Robe = Jedi 'tunic' from Kotor 1 (not the Nemo one, the default PC one). Optional would be to create a new model that includes the cloak.

Jedi Master/Knight Robe = What you have currently and possibly with the movie robes model. I think that the two baseitems for Knight and Master Robes use the same model.

Revan Robe slot = This is unused in the game, I think it would be a good idea to make use of this here for the current TSL Jedi Padawan model

One option could be to make use of Darkus' Armored Robes or at least a similar concept. More heavy duty than the k1 Tunic + Cloak robes but not as prestigious as the Master robes.

You could even use this opportunity to distinguish Knight and Master Robes as different body models in baseitems.2da

and lastly...

Zeison Sha armor - I hate it. I personally think we could stand to do better for those models, as modders anyways. Let's make some heavily armored Jedi Battle robes or something! A similar concept to Dak's Armored Robes. Although, Preferably some form of Heavy Armor + cloak would be ideal.

Not saying that this is what you should do for this mod, but maybe you'll get a few good ideas for a sweet Jedi Robe mod.

P.S. I'd be willing to provide the cloaked models for you.

Massively helpful, you provide me with a cloaked model and I'll make it into as many versions as I can. The G class armors IMO looks best for a cloaked armor, OR a version of the H armor perhaps with a flatter chest for more universal design potential (the smoother the surfaces the more I can achieve with texture).

What I would love to see from you VarsityPuppet is a groin-flapless cloaked Nemo robe, I know I would merge the Jal Shey slot with the Padawan slot and basically make tons of them because I would fiend that kind of change. Like I am REALLY interested in this.

Master robe slot would stay the same, or whatever... :p Really I think body modeling is a great idea, more clothing variations make the game so much fun! I would love to skin for any new model but especially the one I just described.

Revan armor, maybe cloaked armored robe? Any version of this concept I would welcome to make skins for, FYI. I do not wish to make skins for the Padawan robe though, maybe new versions of this but I'd rather use the slot for newer things.

Wish granted.

Always thought it was a little strange that for discovering how to compile bodies and merge models, I never actually made use of it.

Well I finally put the knowledge to good use, and since I've got a new graphics card, and stuff's all shiny...

...well, when it rains, it pours ;) Actually quite a few goodies in these pictures.

No fancy skins yet, just the models. That's 90SK's job ;)

Just need the Female armored robe and then fix random vertices and uvmaps.

Someone please tell me that Armored Robe doesn't look awesome in all its shiny glory!

I will be writing a GIMP tutorial using GIMP 1.2 and 2.4 respectively, as a way for me to update my long outdated version of GIMP and help share the knowledge I've attained through all my practice and experimenting. All my skins are done with GIMP 1.2. As I begin to work on VarsityPuppet's new models I will also be writing this tutorial.

I am starting work on another robe/enhancement mod. I need input on what I should include: would you guys like me to update my entire "wardrobe" or should I stick to robes? Should I release robe/armor content separately?

Also, I am working on an NPC enhancement mod similar to what I did with NPC enhancement in my "Ultimate Appearance Mod". Should I combine that with the mod I mentioned above, or keep it separate?

I have released the armor content from my Ultimate Appearance Mod as a standalone package. The install uses tslpatcher to patch the NPC files in case there are other mods that modify them, everything else is standard patch-into-override. I have not added any new armors, but rather removed the robes and extra content from the ultimate appearance mod. This mod patches over the existing vanilla armor content entirely, thus making for a clean replacement of the vanilla armors. Enjoy!

I have created another robe mod, "Diversified Jedi Robes", using the models I've used previously such as the K1 cloaked robe and Movie style Jedi Master robes. I've also made textures for VarsityPuppet's cloaked heavy armor model. Check out the screenshot for the mod:

I will release the mod once I have finished testing it.

Cool. Do you intend to include a darker looking K1 style robe? I liked the K1 mod a lot, but it lacked a real dark side texture.

It would also be cool if you updated the Ultimate Appearance Upgrade every once in a while with some of your new mods.

I can modify the dark side texture for the K1 robes, I hadn't originally planned on doing that but I can if you want me to. As for the Ultimate Appearance upgrade, I would probably combine the robes from this upcoming mod with the armors from the heavy armor expansion mod and updated versions of the Nihilus mask fix and Canonical Mandalore and shiny HKs also. That would at least cover the content included in the mod, as a big packaged version of new versions of the previous incarnation's content. Does something like that sound appealing? I can certainly work on putting it together if there is interest.
