Darth Homer
It's about 2:50 am where I am right now and you know what I'm doing (other than posting here, wiseass)? I'm playing Mortal Kombat 2 on the Sega Genesis. So I just got to wondering if anyone else has gone back and bought systems they had when they were young; or younger as the case may be; and if so, what system you got and your favorite game? You can post your thoughts or reminisce about gaming days gone by.
Boba Rhett
I have fond memories of playing Knight Dawn and Treasure Island on our Amiga. If I could find Treasure Island again, I'd play it. I still regularly play snes games.
Rogue Nine
I just recently hooked up my old SNES to my big-ass TV in the living room and started a new file on Chrono Trigger. Gawd, I love that game. Also got around to playing some Super Metroid.
Surfnshannon
through the years I have kept EVERY Single system I've bought...just so I could go back and reminace every once in awhile. I actually find it kind of disheartening how quickly now-adays systems go out of date. Before you have a collection of games built up. These are my systems and my favorite games for each. Atari 2600 - Enduro, Keystone Kapers, Pitfall, Asteriods Nintendo - Paperboy, Contra, Duck hunt SNES - Mario 3 --ran a blank - cant remember games Sega - SONIC, and the only other game I owned Aladdin Playstation - Resident Evil, Rayman, Parasite Eve Dreamcast - Shenmue, Crazy Taxi 2, Soul Calibur, Jet Grind Radio My boyfriend won't let me get another system... Havoc Stryphe
Originally posted by TheMadDoofer What the hell was BattleToads? It was a Tennage Mutant Ninja Turtles wannabe, but it was alot of fun! It was about three toads/frogs, one of which was kidnapped with the princess and his two friends now had to battle to rescue him and the princess. it was single or two player simultaneous and you punched, kicked, jumped and rode surfboards, bikes and such. There were special moves you could make that were very Cartoonish, like "the big boot" or "ham fist". It was really fun, especially two player! WolfmanNCSU
XCOM, I still love to play this old game everynow and then. The only other systems I have other than my PC is an Atari and a Nintendo. Zelda rocked. After that, I got into PCs and enjoyed their games much more. Besides, if I want to play another console game, I just download the ROM and play it on an emulator.
