Mandalorian54
Mosters inc. was a great let down. It did so well in the theaters and at video stores it's alwayse sold out, even on VHS. It sounded good and won awards but it just seemed geared to little kids. What do you think did you acctually like it.

You should be ashamed of yourself. how old are you anyway? if your 13 or older, unless your retarted like my brother you should try films appealing to your age groop. Hey did yuh catch the latest Pokemon film:p JK. quote Makes me feel like a kid again.... un-quote Did you pee your pants? JK.

Darklighter
Dude if you start an opinion based question like this, don't have a go at people for having opposite views to you...I am 16 and thought the movie was f***ing funny...and I'm sure I'm not alone...and I don't criticise you for not liking it, so in future don't post threads if you're just looking to flame. Mandalorian54
Oh well....... I diden't really mean to flam I was just joking after all. I just thought of some funny teases and wrote them. I diden't like shreck either it was a pointless movie with some funny lines. And toy story was soooo geared to kidies... But that kind of funny dosent really appeal to me. I like way funny, like laph out loud funny, like rocket man and monty pithon and Just for laphs and some Jack _ _ _ . But sometimes it's just stupid like tom green, well he can be funny but he's just not an actor. By the way I'm not dissapointed in your oppinoins and I'm not mad. But did you really find it funny??? well since most people do like that kind of mild comedy I'm not supprised it did well in theaters, and don't get me wrong the graphics were amazing. Well mabee I am a little dissapointed......
Boba Rhett
Of course it was geared for kids but if someone can't enjoy something just because it doesn't "fit" with what their age range is "supposed" to like, they have more issues than any of us do. We're not the ones that need to grow up.
Tyrion
Riiight..I'm eleven. I bet i'll like it, and I r not retarted...
gorganfloss
I havent seen it yet but I want to. Shrek rocks! I have it on dvd.
Kyth'emos
I havent seen it. But saying that you cant enjoy a movie cause it is geared for a lower age group is bull. Shrek is one of the funniest movie I have ever seen, and it was geared for kids.
whitedragon
it looked incredably stupid so i dident go to see it. now if you want to see a stupid movie (which i know you dont) see shrek. ONE LINE I MEAN ONE LINE was sort of funney but the stupidest part i thought was when the ogre is trying swoon over the princess and so he pick a gigantic sunflower and starts rehearseing what hes going to say "i picked this flower because i thought its pretty like you and i dont like such things because im and ogre..." Darklighter
Shrek was great...Eddie Murphey did a fantastic job with Donkey, he's the funniest cartoon character I've seen in ages:D...as for Monster's Inc I did enjoy it...it was good fun...and I see what you mean by Rocketman Mandalorian:lol:that film is great! Sivy
i liked monster inc, it wasn't as funny as shrek but still very charming. i don't think these films are just for young children, they're for all ages. some people say that the harry potter books are just for kids but i'm betting that the people that say that haven't actually read them. is spider-man just for kids? what about batman? i think not all films and books have a target audience, but that certainly doesn’t mean that people outside that target aren’t allowed to enjoy them. Reb Starblazer
Never saw monsters inc. but I'm gonna follow up on what SivyB said. Most people don't like these movies because they're supposedly for children, and they are. That doesn't mean adults or teenagers can't enjoy them. They're made so that parents can take their kids to see this movie, and like it themselves as well. Now, I watch some of the old cartoons I used to watch as a child. I find most of them even funnier and better now, because I understand them more. Bugs Bunny still cracks me up. Also, a lot of people complained about "The Phantom Menace" being too "kiddie", so they didn't like it. Guess what? It was made for kids! Star Wars itself was made for kids, it's a family movie, otherwise there'd be blood and guts everywhere, and it'd look like frickin' Rambo. Not to mention, these are the same people who went to see Star Wars 25 years ago, when they were *gasp* kids! Some people are such hypocrites.... BTW, I don't mean you. I'm just getting rid of this rant. Just because it's a kid movie, doesn't mean older people aren't allowed to enjoy it.
Hekx
Jar Jar is the new C3PO. I find C3PO funnier more than Jar Jar Bink's style of comedy. But newer age kids seem to find Jar Jar funnier. Yes, I'm tired.

Weapon X
monster's inc. was a great movie, i liked it, i'm 16 and i'm not one of those guys who wears black gothic **** to school and sits on a cpu all day, i'm an athlete and i'm probably gonna take state this year in my swimming events, there's more than a likely chance, and i loved that movie, i also loved shrek, i didn't want to see it at first cuz i thought it was gonna be a gay kid flick but i watched it and loved it too, it was great and i'll defend both those movies til i die

MysticSpade
i'm 18 i own Shrek and Monsters Inc. they both are funny to me. Shrek is absolutely hilarious in my mind, Monsters Inc. was funny. Toy Story is cool. But anyone who can't sit and watch a kiddie movie and not get ANY enjoyment out of it has somethin wrong with them cuz every kiddie movie always has one stupid line that will crack anyone up in it. Surfnshannon
I'm 22 (a girl) and almost 23. I really liked Monsters Inc, Toy Story and Shrek. I really enjoy the cgi graphics. I think they did an amazing job. It must be a lot of fun to make those movies - and a lot of work. My bf always thinks I'm crazy for sitting down and watching these kid movies. I guess I get tired of watching the same old exploding building, heist movie etc (not that i don't enjoy those too) but sometimes you need to watch something different, something simple - something that makes you laugh and you don't really have to sit down and critisize it. Its made for the kids. And so far they love it. They throw in the jokes for the older audiences - that's why you guys like them so much. The story line, plot etc is for the kids!! Just sit back, relax, and enjoy it for what it is.
Mandalorian54
well you all sure have been buissy.......... I haven't been on this thread for a while and now there are a lot of posts so I've only read about half of them before writing this. I did'nt like shrek or toy story. there I said it. I can understand that eleven year old likeing it. and Harry Potter was pretty dumb to. I got flamed at school for bringing it up once, I think the girl who flamed at me thought I acctually liked it, that was the scary part. well most of my friend thought shrek was ok. But I diden't find the donkey funny at all and hated the careoky as do all of my friends. Um....do you guys get betten up alot at school?
