Hope it's legit to use the term X Files....

Well, in this thread, post your experiences with the unexplained, the unknown, and the unordinary.

Ya, that sorta disappointed me...

Seriously though people, don't post stupid stuff, I was really looking for real or plausible stories.

do you ever dream about doing something and being in a place. you get this image in your head then you wake up you forget all about it.

one specific moment later on in your life you start to think that you did the exact samething of what you're doing right now but can't seem to know when or where it happened. then the image starts to comeback in your head and you realize that it was from your dream.

that always happens to me. it really freaks me out. it seem like i can predict my future from my dreams. feels like some twilight zone episode.

You know how I have freakish nightmares and such? Well sometimes it's accompanied by sleepwalking. I've woken up in quite a few odd places.

And when I was six I picked my 18 year old brother above my head and threw him across the room. :indif:

-s/<itzo-, I know what you mean. Sometimes I even say the words of a conversation that's taking place because I've seen it. We all need to pay more atention to our dreams. They aren't just fanciful things.

About "deja vu" and dreams: You haven't actually dreamt it, it just feels that way. It has something to do with your brain freaking out when adjusting to new impulses from enviroments.... or sumthin' like that.

I have had this dream where I could walk around and do stuff - I knew I was dreaming. Then something freaked me out and I wanted to wake up, but I couldn't for the hell of it. Then I finally woke up, but then a few moments after realized I had just "woken up" in a new dream..... o.0

Okay...now this is a true story, and I know people are going to laugh and send for the van with the people in white coats with the nice safe jacket so I can't hurt myself...but I'll take the plunge anyway, and you can make your own mind up.

About 5 1/2 years ago, (a couple of months before my eldest son was born), I was sitting in my living room late at night watching the TV (as you do), when suddenly the front door blew open. (I've got an open living room with the front door situated at one end.) Now, I wouldn't have thought much about it...except that I was pretty sure it was firmly closed to begin with, and when I went to close it, I didn't detect any wind. Anyway, I closed the door, switched the TV off and went to bed.

A couple of nights later, I was sitting up late again (on my own), watching TV...and I heard a distinct sound from about six feet away, inside the living room. You know when someone gives an 'Oooh' of surprise, or something...well it sounded like that. A really short (but very audible) sound...but it didn't come from the TV, or the dog...and I certainly didn't make the sound myself. Sound also doesn't carry well from upstairs, so I discounted my wife who was sleeping. It sort of spooked me a bit, because I also had the feeling that I wasn't entirely alone. But I eventually discounted it as the ravings of a tired brain, and went to bed again.

Anyway, to cut a long story short...I heard the same sound, late at night, on a few other occasions...and again, I had a feeling of being watched or something.

Then suddenly it stopped, and I couldn't figure out why. Strangely enough, though, this coincided with my son being born. I've never heard the sound since then.

Now I've thought about it a lot since then...and the only conclusion I've reached is that somehow my son's consciousness was floating around while he was still in the womb, and somehow exploring the outside world.

Okay...you can send for the straight-jackets now. I'll come quietly. :)

Freaky story...whoah....

Uh only thing i can say...

Majority of the time, doesn't matter who you are, i know what your mood is, what you're gonna say, and why you would say it...

I guess this isn't anything special, just i've been around so many different people for so long that i've acquired a sense that allows me to predict exactly what they would say.
