I used to buy Abercrombie clothes when the prices weren't so outrageous, the clothes were of high quality, and when it wasn't "cool" to buy fron there. Now I just stick with jeans, a t-shirt, and my trusty L.L. Bean fleece that I have had for years and will never get rid of.

besides AF had that whole thing about aZn people and they had negatory things on T-Shirts about them. And aZn people are cool. But what i dont like is people assuming i am a said "prep" because i have a few pairs of AF pants. Im already in college anyway, so all the lil HS kiddos(back at my old HS) can just chill teh fawk out and keep the drama in HS.

Ooo yeah, I heard about those shirts. I saw them on this one website, and they were really mean, they used pictures from old cartoons that were used during the war when people were angry with the Japanese. My one friend has it, and I told him about it, but he didnt care, he had a less ofensive one then the others. But still...its bad

I like how people usually stereotyped as skaters, goths or freaks always try to dress individually, and purposely don't wear what is trendy. However, all these people that try to be "different" are all exactly like the other people who try to be "different." There is no such thing as total individuality. We all copy everyone else in some way whether we like it or not. It's human nature.

Thats mostly true, I mean people who buy stuff at PacSun just because it says Hurley or Billabong on it are just as bad as people who buy stuff just because it says Abercrombie or American Eagle on it, but I do know a few people who wear unique shirts that i've never seen, most of those kids shop at Goodwill (willingly, its not like they cant afford name brand clothes they just like what they can find at goodwill for a buck)

That really doesn't say anything. I don't like it when people stereotype Asians, thinking of them as part of the aZn or whatever clique. I hate cliques.

its the same thing when black people say the words nigga, and other variations of it in rap, and white people are called crackers. And saying aZn isnt a clique, its an abreviation, or rather...a slang

word, i agree...although ive gotten stuff from goodwill, sometimes you can find cool stuff there.

I mean i really really find it ignorant when a said "skater punk" wearing all his brand names "airwalk, DC, hurley, bilabong, independent etc etc" bash other people because they buy from gap, ae, af, old navy etc etc. Its pointless...

and ZePhyR, i honestly cant stand AE, none of their stuff is durable. The jeans wont last for more than a year...same goes with shirts and some sweaters...

and in my opinion, if you wear these brands to show that you do, and to prove a point that your a "prep" or "skater" i dont know wtf your problem is. Its like arguing over what kind of clothes you wear, its like hating a person because they wear certian clothes, its jst redicilous. Personally i wil wear whatever fits me best, and last a good ammount of time.

personnaly i despize AE & AF I can get a good pair of dookers or Levis at Value Village Or the Good Will. Also its fun to shop at the Army Salvation store:D I dont wear name brand clothes and personally i dont really care. And to all you prep skaters you can take a hike because all you think about is your personal image. I mean i walked into AF one day and they had horrible music playing bad smelling colgne and all their visors and hats were torn to be cool and were 34$ Now i can go too the goodwill by some pants a sweater or two some shirts and a sports hat for the same amount as 1 abracrombie hat its disgusting:mad:

Ok I haven't come into this thread but it looks like you guy's were bashing skater clothing and saying that people like that are just like the A&F people.

First of all I don't buy my clothes because of what it says but for what it costs. I just went to the A&F site real quickly and looked at the prices and a Graphic Tee was $29. That is crazy for a shirt. With that I can buy about 3 or maybe even 4 shirts.

Second I dress like a skater because it's comfortable. The jeans fit good and don't hug my a$$ like a tight pair of jeans. I also like the baggy look alot. The shirts are also comfortable and that's what I like to wear most of all.

People may call me a poser because I don't skate and other may try to call me a prep but just with skater clothes. All I can say is F*** you all. I wear what I want to wear not because I want to be a Individual like everyone but because it's affordable and comfortable. And to be a Individual doesn't mean what you were but the way you act. You can be the biggest Individual and you may look like everyone else. I think that to many people now a days define a Individual by what they wear when that doesn't even mean anything. I know who I am and I don't need a certain brand or type of clothing to let other people that I am a Individual. It shows in my attitude and the people who know me know that I don't act like a a$$ or a *ick and that I act the sameway all the time. I don't change my attitude when I am around a certain group of people. I act the same around everyone including you guys. Thats what I think being a Individual is all about. You may agree or disagree but frankly I don't care. I am simply just voicing my opinion.

And if you guy's think that I used the F word harshly above I didn't mean it to anyone on this forum specifically. I just meant to the people that have that mentality anywhere so that may include some of you here.
