I need something that I am going to give good information about and not give a quick crappy response. I need something better then looky here I found a good picture or I found something that is good. People leave, new people come... whether its better or not depends on how open you keep yourself to new things. I think the Swamp is just as good as ever. Kinda the same with avatars. And also posters have to post more threads! There are less and less topics to post on that are interesting. It can be anything, simple ones or stupid ones. I don't care! I like the threads that were like they used to when I joined the forums. There were continous Jedi stories that we made up. Word of the day. The mess around threads you know. Father Torque Posted February 23, 2003 Share Posted February 23, 2003 IMO i think the Swamp has definetly climbed itself out of a huge hole. Im am not necesarily an elder. I came here in July. More than half a year ago. I remember the Swamp back then, there werent any threads that had under 20 replies, there were quality threads, nice swampies, many elder swampies and LFers and the mods did a good job patrolling the Swamp, then around December it became a totle crud hole, we had newbies left and newbies right, im not saying newbies are bad but they were crossing the limit. Since alot of our mods here are not active Newbies took advantage and started making porn threads and swearing threads. Normal Swampies had to defend the Swamp from these newbies taking away there time to post in good threads. This started a reaction which cause the threads sometimes have 0 replies even for some older members. In the begining of the year [not to brag or anything]my Swamp Awards 2003 thead ended with 300+posts involving over 25 swampies. Then my Father Torque Foundation thread came out and has been hot since Jan 1. Also leXX and elders have made quality threads. But there have also been problems lately people arent taking the effort to make a good thread. They dont think before they type. This needs to stop. You should thimk about your topic ask users in PMs if they like the idea and maybe it will turn out better.
