Well I like the poetic justice of Boba Fett killing him, except for the fact that he'll only be 14.

I don't think Anakin will because I'm pretty sure Anakin will kill Dooku and it will be a replay of the Death Star Throne Room in Ep6. "Take Lord Tyranus' place at my side!" With this fight and Anakin vs Obi-Wan, Anakin would just be in too many fights if he kills Windu as well.

But I'd like to see Windu go out in a blaze of glory on the battlefield. Not in a starfighter, because anyone can fly a fighter into a ship. I think he'll be cut off and surrounded in a ground battle by droids and he's just chopping and chopping and still more droids come. Finally he is overwhelmed.

Thats hardly a blaze of glory being mowed down by droids. I really like the space battle idea. Then we can also see what kind of pilot he is. When I think blaze of glory I think of big explosions, speed, lazers, epic battles, you know. He could buy time for Yoda to escape by wasting enemy fighters and then gets disabled and rams into a big ship chasing Yoda. I dunno, something like that. I know GL will make something 100 times better.

I reckon it'll be Anakin that takes out Windu. I mean, who else other than Yoda, who wouldn't do it because he's too short, is powerful enough?

Or maybe it'll be Jango Fett. See, Jango had the Kaminoans make him an unaltered clone. In no part of the film did they say that Boba was the clone. So maybe he's got a clone of himself in stasis, and Boba is his son from a previous relationship? So maybe it's Jango who comes in and tosses a thermal detonator at Mace's ship as he fires up it's engines, and watches it fly into the booster nozzles and explode, saying in a Steve Irwin (the Crocodile Hunter) voice, "Crikey! Bet ya didn't expect to see that beauty! Better move though, if those Jedi see me, I'm history!" :D

But seriously though, the whole fact that it was never mentioned that Jango was the extra clone that Jango asked for (it was always just assumed really, to be fair) could mean that there's another Jango Fett about the place.... :jango:

Ah. Bugger. Well scratch that - I just re-read the profile page about Jango Fett on StarWars.Com, and it says:

He concentrated on teaching his son, the unaltered clone he named Boba, the ropes of survival and combat while the Kaminoans extracted genetic material to build thousands of clone soldiers.

Well never mind. It was just a thought.

Everyone's worse nightmare will come true, it'll be Babba fett :fett: ! Mace will be sitting there meditating in the Jedi council and Babba will walk in with a thermal detonator in his hand and toss it towards Mace, then Babba will turn and run. The thermal detonator will roll up to Mace. Mace will open his eyes and look down at it, and BOOM! The whole jedi council building will be blown up. :evil5:

the whole building falls? then how does boba get out?

Yeah, half the building will be blown up by the thermal detonator and the other half will crumble and fall.. and since Babba ran after he threw it, he'll be in the half of the building that crumbles and falls. Babba will be wearing his fathers jetpack wich will be modified to fit his small body and he flies off to safety.

Here's how it'll go... Anakin will be fightin Mace, doin there lil Lightsaber battle and all... Boba is there watching on with a blaster in hand, and then Anakin gives Boba a chance to kill Mace...

The result is Mace not just being killed by Boba but being disintegrated... ;)

"...and no disintegrations..."-- Darth Vader (ESB)

I believe that Darth Sidious will kill Mace Windu.

If it is true that Mace Windu's character will go out in a blaze of glory this effect would be best achieved if Windu faces the then Emperor Palpatine of whom the Jedi Order has just discovered that he is also Darth Sidious. To lay to rest any rumors that Darth Sidious isn't really all that powerful, nor a true Sith George Lucas can have Sidious fight and defeat Mace Windu.

I don't believe Darth Tyranus would kill Mace Windu since Episode III will obviously see a rematch between Yoda and Tyranus in which Yoda defeats Tyranus in a more spectacular duel than the Episode II confrontation. It's quite obvious in Episode II (movie, novel, graphic comic book) that Tyranus is not match for Yoda and that he has to flee to survive.

It has also been stated that Mace Windu (a form VII instructor) is a better lightsaber wielder than Yoda - only that Yoda is more powerful due to his superior attunement to the Force.

So Mace would beat Tyranus. Logically then you'd best have Yoda fight Tyranus and Mace fight Sidious in Episode III. (And we know Obi-Wan will fight Anakin.)

i think it will be anakin, because i think that GL will have anakin kill someone before he duels with obi-wan because it will empathise why obi-wan has to beat him down.

i think that either anakin or yoda will kill dooku - possibly anakin as i think he will have the same choice as luke did in ROTJ, i.e kill vader and join palpatine or die, but anakin of course makes the wrong choice killing dooku and taking his place.

but it also makes sense if yoda takes out dooku as he would feel that its his responsibility as dooku was once his padawan.

but anyway to the question of mace, i don't know - maybe anakin, maybe dooku. i don't think it will be palpatine - he wont show his true colors until the end

Ok, Idea! So we have a huge climactic space battle between Victory Star Destroyers (empire) and the republic and Confederacy. (The VSDs were supposed to come out during the Old republic: From Rebellion.) Boba is piloting Slave 1 around, and just so happens to be in the battle. Using slave one, he kills Mace Windu. OR Darth Vader/Tyranus kills him. (Remember people, in episode 2, they said that Dooku was the prized pupil to Yoda. And he was second ONLY to him.)

Just an Idea.

As Mace is clearly nailz i think the only two that would be capable of killing him will be either Sidious or Vader, i personally think it will ne Vader but i would like it to be Sidious. I would like to see Sidious kill him by using some amazingly powerful force power (one we haven't seen before) so we can see why Yoda and Obiwan are forced into hiding and would explain the line 'Do not underestimate the emporer' or whatever Yoda says to Luke.

I have heard a lot of people saying on all different sites they want Boba to kill Mace as revenge for Jango etc but he will be only about 12 or so and the mighty Mace being killed by a 12 or 13 year old boy, that would be lame.

I think Mace may die sacrificing himself to save others in a very heroic fashion, i.e he takes on Vader and Sidious to enable Obiwan to escape with Padme or something like that, and after a monumentous battle he is finally killed!:(

i also think mace will die out of an heroic act, because i dont know if anyone is powerful enough to face him in a one on one duel with a lightsaber. He'll probably be outnumbered and, like it's been said before, give other a chance to escape or someting.
