Nute Gunray
The funny part is that you say "we can't agree" when everyone does agree that LA is playing third fiddle. NYC and Chicago are the masters.
Rebel Loyaltist
Well the unofficial members of this forums (Death Row circa 1995) agrees with me and that's enough.
Redwing
Originally posted by Rebel Loyaltist LA has tons of character, from Hollywood to its laid backness. And besides what most people think a lot more ethnicites can be found in LA than Latinos, a lot more. And we got em all without Ellis Island. But reason NYC has all those places is because it's way older than LA. Had LA and NYC been created at the same time both cities would be very different. With age on it side NYC had more of a chance to become a major city. Which brings me to my next point, LA become a great city in far less time than NYC did. Los Angeles will always be capital of the Universe. But I'll give this to NYC, it's where hip hop was born and that's cool with me. I didn't even notice you lived in LA until now. That would make you about an hour or two north of me.

gmarti01
Interesting question for you guys. Assuming that most of you guys are close to my age (22) in what order will you show your children the SW movies in lets say 15 years. Will you show them in order of release (4 - 5 - 6 - 1 - 2 -3) or 1 through 6 straight through?
Admiral Odin
If I have children they will see the SW films whenever I watch them. Usually in chornological order.
Wildstar
I have a 6 year old nephew and I think he's seen them in the order in which they were made.
Rebel Loyaltist
I'll show three of my kids the movies in chronological order and the other three the original way.

Zoom Rabbit
Nute, you can most effectively accomplish that by never reproducing. *(Hands him a sharp knife.)* There you are. Go on...whack Mr. Weaselpuss right off.
Nitro
4-5-6 Unless Ep. III really blows me away, they'll never see the prequels.
Nute Gunray
I plan on producing three small humans. This way, in the old age, one can care for me directly at all times, care for the wife at all times, and the third can "mow the damn lawn." Admiral Odin
Have two kids and instead of a lawn use concrete with a green dye.
Rogue9
you still play xwa...I'd thought everyone had moved on, I still have my cd's and haven't played in years. I don't know that my computer would even run it anymore its a bit out dated. *Slaps gmarti01 for talking back to Loyaltist* Originally posted by gmarti01 You must be ignorant as i figured. I'm talking about One on One, in a starfighter. You vs me. What happened to all that tough talk before about how good you are? Did you lose your XWA CD? It's ok to make excuses man, but then just at least admit that you suck. It would be such a pleasure to shoot you quad laser style, wont you grant my wish? Rogue9
and I'll probably ban my kids from watching Episode I, II, and III since they ahve nothing to do with the timeline and would only serve to confuse them
Kylilin
they ahve nothing to do with the timeline which timeline do you speak of?
Admiral Odin
how can Episode I-III not have anything to do with the timeline? Especially since Lucas says they do....
Rogue9
because the books are better written than anything lucas had done...and I've spent money on 60 or so of them so I'm clined to side with them over the 2 DVD's I've purchased of the new episodes
gmarti01
Help guys....Im conflicted. You may remmeber me saying I've joined the NRN, but things with them have been very slow and they don't seem to have any tourneys, WoWs, or MP games at anytimes. I've been recruited by Emperor's Hammer Tie Corps. I'm sure you know how big they are and I have joined. Im reluctant in my decision though b/c it seems to be one by default. They are very very active, yet they are sooo big that i feel the group is too impersonal. I want to be part of a clan/group/organization, whatever that is small enough where i can know most people and there is a chance to move up in the ranks. THe thing is, as of now, it seems like my only choice. Although i was an Imp in my old XWA days, i'd rather fly for the Alliance. Im a little confused of what to do Anyone have any suggestions? Rogue9
I would suggest my old clan but I haven't checked on them in a really long time and I think they died off
Zoom Rabbit
You can always play against AI pilots. They're more gullible, anyway...
edlib
Be pro-active and start your own! Recruit some people from the clans you are in now. After all, whats the point of having a huge, active Imperial navy clan if there are no active Rebel ones to fight against? There are probably some folks there that feel the way you do. It's worth a shot.
Kylilin
Clans...easy to start, hard to maintain. Why? There are so many games out there that its hard for people to stick to one for any reasonable period of time. I think the new trend in clans has to be clans that focus on several games, rather that one in specific. In the old days it was easy because so few games had multiplayer capabilities, now every game has them. And with these new MMORPG's that seem to be all consuming, it may be even harder now thatn ever to drag people away from the Sims online, Star Wars Galaxies, and Everquest to even play an "old" game like XvT.
