Laserschwert
Hi everybody. I finally managed to put a site up, where you can preview and download my self-made "Monkey Island Soundtrack"-covers. Here's the link: The Soundtrack CD Covers of Monkey Island I have started uploading the soundtrack of "Monkey Island 2". I created MP3s from the brilliantly arranged Highland-Productions MIDIs (using several soundfonts). I will post the links here in the forum when they are ready. Let me know what you think about the site, and if you're interested in the other soundtracks as well. (since some sites of the Mix-n-Mojo network already have them online, I think it's no problem to upload them somewhere else too).
Remi
That's nice looking - good job.
Benny
Very nice, I really like those covers. [Edit, you have to right click > save as target to get the full covers. You dont have the inside covers there either]
scabb
I demand your Monkey Island 2 soundtrack >: Also, very nice site.
Laserschwert
The inside-covers are together within the outside covers... you have to fold it twice after printing (or cut them up in a image editing program before printing them, and glue them together - back to back). And thanks for the kind words... I am still uploading the MI2-soundtrack... they'll be up soon.

Laserschwert
It's sad that I get that from guys only... Anyways, thanks (mmh... I probably shouldn't wink in this situation)
Benny
I'm having to restrain my rampant fanboyism here. Bloody brilliant, there arent enough verbs for me to express my excitement sufficently.
Laserschwert
Don't you mean adjectives? Nevertheless, you're welcome. But don't get excited before listening to them.
Benny
Indeed I do, its late, im tired and the temptation to delete my post and hide my shame is immense. It does however give me a chance to use the shifty eye smiley
Thrik
Do you have any links to the files themselves? They don't seem to be downloading properly when I click that form button (it tries to open it from location which takes bloody ages) Brilliant job though. Laserschwert
Unfortunately there's no other way than linking to those download pages. Yes, those servers are rather slow, but they are the only free webspace I know that has unlimited upload space AND accepts MP3-files... Unless someone provides me with some webspace (around 140MB for the MI2-soundtrack, or 375MB for all four soundtracks) I can't upload them somewhere else... sorry. Thrik
So, can anyone here host the guy's files?
C Shutt
Am I the only one who, upon being told that right-click and "Save As" didn't work, immediately right-clicked on one of the files and tried to "Save As"?
Oystein
Nice work, Laserschwert! When Mojo's back online, you should get hosted by them. I don't think there's a problem with that. You've done something which I think I've never seen done in the community before.
Laserschwert
Well, thanks very much. It would be great if Mojo would host the site (and maybe they offer me enough webspace for all the soundtracks). Actually, I am planning on turning the site into a "LucasArts Soundtrack" site... because I have already finished the Sam & Max soundtrack (I posted the links in this forum too, but it's been a while, and right now, the server seem to be down). Plus I have started on the DOTT-soundtrack as well, so maybe such a site might work out (including more self-made covers, of course). Just keep the encouragement coming, and maybe some comments and criticism on the MI2-soundtrack... "Favourite cues", or "what I messed up"... let me know. Ray Jones
.. can you do some kind of amiga edit? you know in MI 1 they used TFMX and real samples (Music and SFX) .. i ripped back in the days with my ACTION REPLAY III (rul) and never got a play who could play it. NOW i have one (the only one for dosbox) .. but i already recongized they got them MP3ed at the Scummbar .. So they did with MI2 but they used iMuse with real Samples.. (e.g. blowing the horn at Booty) I like Amiga sound much more than that PC-Synth .. ps. i had no time listen to some yet, but i WILL for sure. In front of a fire, next to Zoom Rabbit with a glass of vine..
ATMachine
It takes ages to download a single MP3 . . . that is, if the server doesn't decide to suddenly stop working in the middle of my download. It keeps doing that, and I'm really frustrated. I've tried maybe ten times to get the MP3 of "The Swamp" and I still don't have it! How on earth do you guys download these things? A download manager or something?
Alien426
Sam & Max soundtrack thread There used to be a Indiana Jones And The Fate Of Atlantis soundtrack, but - as you will notice upon clicking the link - it appears to be down. Temporarily? As for the downloads, I didn't have any server trouble. It is slow and only allows 10 downloads at a time. But standard Internet Explorer has a lock that prevents more than 2 downloads from one server at a time. You'll have to edit the registry. I guess a download manager won't help, since the site doesn't support normal downloads ("save as"). It wants to display lots of ads (pop-ups -> Pop-Up Stopper). edit: Danke für den Soundtrack, Laserschwert. Gefällt mir sehr gut!
battlebison
Wow, these are truly works of art! I'm not sure whether to sacrifice 100 ostriches to you or myself...
Thrik
I'm currently in the process of mirroring the files on the Grim Fandango Network, which is just as good as mojo since it's on the same server. CD1 has just finished and you can check it out here. CD2 will be along in roughly an hour.
Thrik
Okay, all of them are up now. If his mirror doesn't work out for you I'm sure that this one will ease the pain.
Laserschwert
Oh my good god, Thrik... thanks!!!!!!! One question, are you able to host them permanently? Because if so, I would edit my site, and add a download page (linking to the files on the GF-Network-mirror)... you can take down your download page then (which I would prefer *g*)... but it's so great that you did it, thank you so much!! @Alien426: Keine Ursache... und danke für das Lob. EDIT: Oh yeah, by the way, what does it take to get your site hosted by Mojo? And do they provide you with webspace and stuff? Just curious...
