  1. I've hidden the off topic post. Everyone keep it on topic and keep it nice please.
  2. I was just thinking exactly that. Perhaps I'm misremembering, but it feels years ago you'd actively have to look at some dark corner of the internet to find hateful stuff, now its leaked out everywhere. I don't want weirdo culture-war people brigading the things I like with trumped-up outrage. This review is the best response so far.
  3. Tim Schafer just linked to this on Twitter. Its brilliant.
  4. We have all of Lucasforums archived here. You mean this thread.
  5. That's probably what I'm thinking of, its been...a few years.👴
  6. That's awesome! I wondered if it was like the MI1 icon - where the colours are messed up in Workbench 3 (I didn't realise that for years). I checked and that's sadly not the case. Also while you're here thank you for the directory opus adf plugin
  7. I don't think I've seen that poster before, I really like it. Did it come with one of the remastered releases?
  8. Laser it says you have 211 messages and Thunderpeel you have 170. So that must be why. I've bumped the quota up to 250 for now.
  9. The only vaguely relevant thing I can see is that max stored conversations is set to 50. And its set to stop you sending messages to people who have reached that. I've bumped it up to 55 to see if its that.
  10. I'm guessing a permission thing. I'll have a look around the admin settings and when that fails I'll pester Zaarin.
  11. It was working for me a few weeks ago and I've just successsfully PM'ed now so its working for me. Not sure what it is.
  12. We've come a long way from listening to midi files by Highland Productions. We need a thread for sharing the excellent music covers on Youtube. This guy has done several Monkey Island covers, I particularly like his Barbery Coast and Jojo covers but they are all good.
  13. I agree with whats been said, a new Sam and Max game is great but I wonder how many people will actually play it. The market for VR games cant be that big surely? Like Psychonauts and the Rhombus of Ruin its going to be one of those games that I would love but cant play.
  14. This may show the poster thats in that mag, I cant see a page that looks like the stuff hanging out in the mag itself. I dont think its the pull-out 'kill zone' section as thats black. Anyway, I cant see this issue available to buy anywhere so this is pure speculation.
  15. Streetfighter and Indiana Jones so yeah maybe double sided that one. It seems odd that they wouldn't advertise the MI poster on the cover, maybe I missed it.
  16. From the images here the Dune poster wasn't double sided. So if that's how they typically did them the MI one might not be either.
  17. We still dont know what issue though do we? I looked through the front covers of most of them and although there were a few with posters inside, I didnt see any that refer to an MI2 poster. I suppose the poster could even be double sided...it could even be on the back of that dune poster.
  18. I'm rewatching the DoubleFine Adventure documentary at the moment and Tim says how they watched movies like that as research for MI:
  19. The Spiffy close-up was added back in the Ultimate Talkie Edition fan patch.
  20. I really like the article, you dont get articles like that anywhere else. I had Laser's Grim Fandango and MI2 posters printed in A1 and framed and they were glorious. I say had because I took them down when the room became a nursery, apparently a skeleton smoking a cigarette and a massive zombie pirate stabbing a voodoo doll arent suitable for little kids.
