  1. Well, of course Witwer and Cox look similar to Starkiller and Juno, considering they were not only voiced by them, but their main facial features were also the base for the two characters in the games and comics. But since they aren't carbon copies, it means that the modelers and texture artists did composite work (which means they took features from several different people and used them for the face. For example, Gordon Freeman isn't modeled and textured after only one person, but is actually a composite of, IIRC, about 4 different people.)
  2. I thought it would be more of a concussive grenade, considering it still did damage, but considerably less then a frag, plasma, or even a thermal detonator. Its a less-than-lethal armament, and its meant to damage and stun, not to kill. As for blocking the lightsaber, I could see she had an 'armor' glove of some sorts. And its possible it could be made of one of the lightsaber resistant alloys, like Mandalorian Iron, or it could be simple metal empowered by the force.
  3. So I just watched IGNs E3 stream on Black Ops, and I must say, it looks fairly good, and I'm already seeing a lot of familiar features. The best part of the presentation was probably when you get in the Hind, and you go up river blowing **** up. There was also a little part in the beginning while your crawling through tunnels killing a Vietnamese person who killed the guy you follow, but it was mostly crawling, not a lot of action.
  4. Its their way of appealing to us KOTOR fanboys. They think because there is a mask that resembles Revan's in game, it'll draw a certain fanbase (us) to buying and spending our money.
  5. Lol, when the Jedi came in and started doing the flips, I began to flash back to when I played JKA, where everyone with a double bladed saber kata'd ad nauseum. That trailer made me think that TFU and Republic Commando had a child and became an MMO.
  6. Hes supposed to be, but all the stories about life for Jedi between the death and rebuilding of the Jedi Order kinda gets rid of that. Yeah, in the movies, Luke is seen to be pretty much the last Jedi ever. But there is quite a list of Jedi who did make it through the purge, and several of them live on to be important figures in the Rebellion, in forming the new Jedi Order, or just as crazy hermits living in the desert. As for Luke making a Cameo, hes still living with his Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru, as this game takes place before A New Hope. So unless Starkiller makes an effort to go to Tatooine and search the entire planet specifically for a single house in a desert, its not likely. A Yoda cameo would be expected, from the lines in the teaser all those months ago. And if he meets Quinlan Vos, then its not to fight or kill him, as he lived through Order 66 and the purge.
  7. From that demo, all it looks like is one of those Time Crisis (or whatever they are, havent seen one in a while) arcade games where you occasionally have to actually do stuff, but it ends up being mostly done by pre-scripted actions. For example: 1: Pretend to swing your arms around like your holding a lightsaber to block imaginary lasers 2: After [insert amount here] lasers blocked, throw tank onto people. You actually have no part in pretending, you just watch it 3: Repeat, except this time by pretending to be realllly fast. 4: Shoot your lightsaber offscreen to reload 5: Slap Star Wars on the title, and include Darth Vader. 6: $$$
  8. ^ its about to burst into flames because Derrick won't shut up.
  9. ^ why is there a black guy with his head on fire? and why does he seem to not notice it at all?
  10. I just attempted to scan my hardware (the launcher wouldn't launch, so I just used the swconfig.exe file and clicked the scan hardware) and apparently, my video card doesn't meet the requirements and that I need to download a driver. I'll attempt to install it later on, but I'm certain that is not whats causing my install failure. Yeah, thats what I assumed. I'll try to install it later without the profiler. EDIT: Here is what SWConfig said about my system: Show spoiler (hidden content - requires Javascript to show) [sWKotOR] ReportDateTime=6/14/2010 11:35:08 AM SysInfoVersion=v1.00.60 GameExists=1 GameVersion=v2.00.424 GameInstallLocation=D:\LucasArts\SWKotOR2\ [OS] Name=WinXP Version=Windows XP v5.1 build 2600 Service Pack 2 Service Pack=None Status=Pass [swapFiles] ?:\pagefile.sys=0 [CPU] CPUCount=4 CPUSpeed=2731 CPUFamily=6 CPUModel=14 CPUStepping=5 CPUVendor=Intel CPUName=IntelĀ® Core i5 CPU 750 @ 2.67GHz Status=Pass [Memory] RAM=4088 Status=Pass [Disk Free Space] C: (NTFS), UNICODE=42.36GB D: (NTFS), UNICODE=46.82GB E: (NTFS), UNICODE=97.46GB G: (NTFS), UNICODE=95.75GB H: (NTFS), UNICODE=174.42GB I: (NTFS), UNICODE=137.14GB Status=Pass [CD-ROMs] DriveLetters=F:\ Drives=ATAPI iHAS324 A ATA Device [Video] Video Card Name=RDPDD Chained DD Video Memory=4096 Desktop Resolution=0x0x0 DirectX=DirectX 9.0c (4.09.00.0904) OpenGL Version=3.2.0 OpenGL Vendor=NVIDIA Corporation OpenGL Renderer=GeForce GTX 260/PCI/SSE2 NVidia Driver=(null) Vid Card Status=Warning Vid Card Driver Status=Fail GL Status=Pass DX Status=Pass [Audio] Sound Card Name=Speakers (High Definition Audio Device) Status=Pass ;Game Options from swkotor2.ini [Display Options] FullScreen=1 Disable Movies=0 Disable Intro Movies=0 Sort Modules=1 Width=640 Height=480 BitsPerPixels=32 RefreshRate=60 [sound Options] Disable Sound=0 [Graphics Options] EnableHardwareMouse=1 FullScreen=0 [Game Options] [config] firstrun=0 EDIT 2: Well, it appears its just my launcher doing that. I decided to try to load it again (I hadn't uninstalled it or anything) by using the launcher executable (failed), but when I tried launching the game directly, it works. Wunderbar.
  11. Ok, I don't get this, but I'm sure it has something to do with my system specs. The other day I tried to reinstall TSL, but it failed somehow, despite finishing the installation successfully, or so I thought. My installation would go seamlessly until I have to insert Disk 2. When I do, and I click the OK button, my Logitech G-Series Key Profiler (a program that came with my keyboard I got for Christmas) comes up with an error that tells me to insert my disk one, and when I did, it came up with another error (either from the Profiler or the actual installation software, can't remember) saying that without the proper disk, the installation would fail. So I had to uninstall the components that had been installed, and I reinstalled it yet again, this time ignoring my Profiler. The little status bar at the bottom gets to the end and I believe my installation has finished, and I decide to play a different game for the rest of the night. The next day (which happens to be today) I decide to see how badly the GUI looks without the widescreen hack (as I have a great 16:9 aspect ratio now), and it turns out that my installation didn't work correctly. Now, like I said, it may be a cause of my specs, or it may be caused by my Key Profiler somehow. Just in case, here is my system specs, as narrated by Steam. 12. Thanks for pointing out the obvious. If Revan had succeeded and destroyed the Sith Empire once and for all, then the main 'plot' (if thats what you want to call it) for TOR would be gone, and they (Bioware/EA) would have troubles doing it and making money off of it.
  13. It wouldn't? Actors, maybe not. But the characters? Bleh
  14. Your saying Revan died between KOTOR and TSL? Well, its possible, but when your using your logic of HK being deactivated when Revan dies, he wasn't necessarily deactivated, but he was shut down because most of his parts were severely damaged.
  15. And why has mine turned into World of Warcraft?
  16. no. click the first link in my sig

  17. So far, all it seems like thats changed between the two games, besides Starkiller now using 2 lightsabers and being cloned, is dismemberment and weather effects. Still not very impressed. I'm happy now a little on the inside because of the dismemberment. But not enough for me to pre-order or get the collectors edition (I'll only shell out the $80 for it if it changes my mind before their October release date with some really cool swag)
  18. All right, I'm already seeing problems. 1) So Revan wasn't this military genius who had fought and almost crippled the Republic so that it could grow and prosper against the Sith Empire, but really a pawn of the Sith Emperor? Yeah. Sure, completely believable. 2) Bastila? A Jedi Master. bah. And this update all but confirms mullet-Revan is the canon Revan. Not a problem for me, as it was my favorite vanilla Revan head.
  19. You don't see a link because he never released it. He only posted about it. You'd have to contact him directly (through a private message) about if you could use it.
