  1. To continue some admittedly pointless speculation, I notice the "inner monologue" of the interface has been replaced with a more traditional verb interface (as mentioned above): Presumably that is a setting that can be toggled?
  2. If I was a betting man, I'd say this... ... is the hint book. Furthermore: Purple tentacle?
  3. 👆. 👍. The later Monkey Island games -- CMI and later -- doubled down on really wanting to hammer home a joke by padding out punchlines with punchlines to the punchlines. So far, it looks like ReMI is keeping with the brevity of the two originals.
  4. Doesn't look like any pre-release demo will happen.
  5. https://web.archive.org/web/20071026161126/http://lucasfic.mixnmojo.com/novels.htm
  6. From Wikipedia: According to LucasArts, The Dig's global sales reached 300,000 copies by early 1998, the highest sales of a LucasArts adventure title at the time of its release.
  7. I kind of feel Schafer has gotten more credit than anyone else in the company. DOTT and Grim both appear toward or at the top of most "best adventure game" lists; as do MI1 and 2. Most who know the name "Ron Gilbert" know who Tim is. Also, wasn't Full Throttle their best selling adventure, or was it second to (of all things) The Dig?
  8. I pre-ordered both, as that is just the journalistic integrity the people expect from Mojo.
  9. Definitely see your point, but I get more of a Wally vibe from him. An academic stuck in a pirate world.
  10. David Fox confirmed on Twitter a while back that they'd support "direct controls" through gamepads. Exactly what that means is anyone's guess, but presumably it wouldn't be the direct-replacement-of-the-mouse method.
  11. Only amongst his closest friends.
  12. It's a fine read, but nothing earth shattering. Only real spoiler are the screenshots posted above.
  13. Yep, that was what I edited. I’m more talking about a proper high res original. Would make for a good poster.
  14. There are people who do this a lot better than I do, and hopefully there'll be an official version, but either way... Here's the cover without text, etc.
  15. As I've mentioned elsewhere, I'm pretty sure we're giving this way more thought than the MI1 team did. :~ Also, that would suggest Fester is standing there with his back turned to the alley. We are solving the big ones here!
  16. For god's sake, look at the psssst. And yes, I realize I'm getting into "the grassy knoll" territory here. ÂŹ
  17. As for the portal, that was pretty much cracked here previously, I do believe. We are traveling down quite the portal here ourselves it does feel like.
