Father Torque Posted September 17, 2003 Posted September 17, 2003 Hey, I was just thinking. We have a area on the forums where we can see the top 50 posters. Then the list goes on and on to the end. Well I was thinking why not have a top 50 thread list. I know it would be hard to make. but it would be really cool. It would also benefit the forums, in the sense that newbs coming into the swamp can see the best threads on the forums, and have a good idea of what a good thread is. I dont know what you think but I for one think its a cool idea:)

Even if we did a system of polls and counted votes and so on, people really wouldn't be able to remember very well and would most probably only pic the most current threads, and not the really good ones we had back when. And I really doubt the admins are going to read through the lot, it would take a few years.

Father Torque Posted September 23, 2003 Author Posted September 23, 2003 I never said all long threads are good, But most are considering that if they were bad then they would have been locked by mods/admins before they ever got popular and large. I can think of a few long threads that a great. One being my own. So if it could be done that would be cool. Evne if thy arent good, it would still be a coll extra addition to the forums. Maybe adding a little pizaze.

Its the same basically the same thing. I just think it would be a cool addition to the forums. And the cheat, what about the FTF. 3496 posts. You dont remember that.

We'd like quality posts...not really a lot of posts. Now, a lot of quality posts is good, but I guess that's more rare Swoosh

Are you saying that new people make good or bad posts? *is confused* Even after the feature would be installed, do you think anyone would use it? Most likely not, and it mght cause more spam because everyone would want to have the biggest thread....
