Alia
I searched long and hard for the Secret to the mystical signifigance and butt-numbing mystic power long associated with the name Joshi. But only recently did I discover that without the name Neil preceding it, there are no special powers or abilities for the person of the said name.... Neil, Neil, what have you given up? You could have been a freakin' hero, man! Why didn't I tell you before? *bangs head against wall, seriously injuring self* so. It's too late.... you were to bring....*cough*....balance... *wheeze* *hack*....to the....former...*choke* *gasp* ...Har...b- *dies of gaping head wound* .....hey Grimmy.... Thrik
I personally believe that Neil Joshi changing his nickname to just "Joshi" is an action that was inspired by deep psychological problems, possibly caused by childhood trauma. For example, when put together, the two words sound like an average name - Neil Joshi. However, when on its own, Joshi could be anything - ranging from a new version of Yoshi to the surname of an average guy. After careful analysis of his personality, I have found Neil to be very kind but also lacking any kind of confidence, which is displayed in the letter formation of his nickname. When compared to more outgoing people such as Yufster, the letter formations of the two words are impossible to not notice. Let's compare them - Joshi / Yufster. See? Another thing I noticed is that Neil closed his initial name changing topic after posting it, indicating that he is hugely unprepared to discuss his nickname change. This, again, indicates that he is still being traumatized by childhood memories involving the word "Neil" and thus he doesn't wish to even mention it any more. These memories are so intense that he has gone so far as to delete it from his very account, and refuses to allow anybody else to discuss it. In fact, I'm willing to bet that his childhood trauma will influence him to close this very topic upon him logging on. So in conclusion, Joshi is a very disturbed person who has suffered a long, windy road of trauma and disturbing influences. Just where he will go next is not know, but we must continue to support him and make sure that he doesn't become suicidal.

Joshi
Originally posted by Captain Andy Well, if his name was Marco Pollo I'd believe it. Were people always telling him to kneel or something? Yes, yes they did. But that's not why I changed it. Now, do you want the real reason, or the one I'm gonna make up on the spot right now. yep, I thought so... here it comes. Basically, being a moderator, I thought I'd do my bit for the guys at LF. Those extra 5 charcaters in my name (the space counts as a character in computer talk) account for 5 bits of memory which LF has to store. Now, lets say that on average, I post about 25 posts a day, that's 125 bits of memory taken up. now I come here almost once a day, so that means that after 365 days of posting, I'll have accumulated 9125 posts making 45625 bits of memory. After another 5 years of this, I'll have used up 228125 bits of memory, and so after 10 years, that'll be 456254 bits of memory used. To put that into perspective for you, after ten years of posting here, My first name alone would have used at least up 55kb of memory. Now, aren't you glad I got rid of those five characters? Gabez
You look so naked without the "Neil" bit. Maybe based on your logic I should shorten by nick to just "G"? ; It's kinda catchy.
Remi
That way we could say "Whazzup G?" without feeling like posers.

Joshi
Wow! A lot of people pass that off as just some weird symbol I made up. Well, why can't I have NJ as my avatar? No Law against it, it's not against the forum rules or anything. Also, I don't care if you all call me Neil, I want to be called Joshi and so I will be.
