The Cheat
I heard on tv the other day on tv that they might use new kinds of effects in episode 3 similar to the matrix with slowdowns during the major fight sequences. i hope this is not true as it would ruin the movie in my opinion but i was just wondering if anybody else had heard it or what you think -the cheat

Pulls out his lightsaber and awaits for the angry mob to attack him I know how much you dispise NJO, and at times I do think what a load of ####. Usually the NJO books are good. Darth Rythe
Originally posted by Lord Siraious NOOOOOOO!!!! dont use matrix effects it is Star Wars not Matrix I agree with that, it would be stupid, it would show that GL can't think of smething special to put in a big fight scene. The Cheat
yea i agree, it doesnt show any originality using effects made famous by somebody else. instead he should create his new, totally awesome effect.
Master William
Can't they just make the movies like the old ones? Same music and feeling? When I see a scene from Ep1 or Ep2, I think ''Would that fit into RotJ, ANH, or tESB?'' My answer is always NO. Please do insert feelings and emotions into Star Wars battles and movies. All I saw in Ep2 was Anakin slashing like some little agressive pointless noobie. Think of the saber duels in the old movies... You'll know what I mean. lukeiamyourdad
Indeed. The fight scenes in the OT had a lot more dialogue and emotion. Although both the most famous fight scenes of the PT are very cool, they show basically no emotion. Darth Maul vs Qui-Gon and Obi has a good excuse for not having any emotions(except Qui-Gon's death) but the fights in AotC have no good excuse. Jedi_Monk
It's not like The Matrix films are the first ever to use slow motion, they just have some of the most effective slow mo. sequences.
Glaive v.1
I am a fan of the matrix and i think that any effects taken from the matrix would be a bad idea. It's Star Wars dont use matrix effects.
Surfnshannon
If anything the Matrix Copied Starwars....although I don't really care to ellaborate on that.

Tesla
Well the Matrix, IMHO, does copy loads of stuff from great Sci-Fi and Action movies. It wouldn't be good if SW was "Matrix-ifyed"
Surfnshannon
Neo = The One vs Darth Vader = The Chosen One Both will bring BALANCE Trinity the ass kicking girlfriend = Leia and Padme also Ass Kicking Girl Friends Morpheus reminds me a lot of Qui Gon The Councel = both films that's just some things that I can think of off the top of my head

lukeiamyourdad
Actually, both movies are using basic heroes and villains so it really can't be a true rip-off or copying. So maybe it was inspired but not copied.
Sivy
i think its safe to say that both movies were heavily inspired by other movies/books/mythology
Glaive v.1
I agree with you there siv. Just watch some manga to see clips that could be from the matrix
MaceII
No, No, NO boys...people really just give their impresssions on life, their interpretation...Geroge Lucas in Star Wars is givving his philosophy on life...look at how he uses the force? The force to George Lucas, is prorbably somethiiin like The Holy Spirit, or Kharam, or destiny (not that thithis things are similar..they are very unique) but in Star Wars..its the force and george lucas like the storyboard of Star Wars has modelled real life things in a way. The force is kinda off what Khrama wud be if we cud use it to move objects through the air. Mythology, fiction, novels all these things their authors give their intepretation or point of view of life...but i agree with someone who made an important distinction...other works may inspire them. ANyway i should mention tho that in corporate world when an idea works everyone copies and adapts it to their own setting to cash in. George Lucas Star Wars thingy worked in 1977 everyone copied it.. most blockbuster have something similar to Star Wars in terms of a formular. i.e. a Hero from unfortunate background a menacing empire or organisation..its classic and its been repeated through out human history and makes its imprint in human literature and fiction
Pedro The Hutt
Hrm, Epi.III with Matrix effects, only if Palpatine at the end reveals himself to be in fact.... Agent Smith XD *cough* All kidding aside, no, rather not see that happen.
n.kT3M4
I'm pretty sure it well not happen becuse it is simply like this they will not have Matrix effects on Ep3 becuse the main reason they did that was beacuse of major gun shooting sences were you can see the bullets breaking the sound bearer which don't get me wrong is awesome but it comes out plain simply like this the won't do that when the guns that are in star wars shoot lasers and thats my stroy and I'm sticking to so people please would you drop it. :evil6: :evil6: :evil6:
