As i walk towards the entrance of the cinema, one of the guys that accepts your tickets approaches me... "Hi" he says. "How old are you?" "I'm 15", i lie... "you dont look 15 to me. Do u have an ID?" "ehm, no, should i?" i stutter. "without an ID you wont get in... bye bye!" he says and laughs evilly! yeah, in norway it has an 15 year old limit... but i still have tickets... ET Warrior
Originally posted by RoguePhotonic **** that..their his parents...what's that supposed to mean?...oh thank you...thank you for giving me life...I can't respect that because it was not asked for...but forget that...the real issue is do you think anyone has the right to tell you what you can and can't watch with your own eyes...it's a matter of personal freedom....well I don't and I fought...I fought threw my whole child hood because I had this free mind....I will not lie...it's a hard life...if you have a free mind it's a threat to everything this system stands for....this society has gone worse than just to hell. In the end it's are you man enough to stand up for your rights....if your not don't complain. How about a house to live in? Food to eat? A chance to go to school and get an education? Guidance in times of troubles? Perhaps you think you're sounding quite clever or tough with all this talk, but to me all you sound like is the average angry teenager who thinks his whole life was somehow harder than everyone else's and therefore shouldn't have to be an actual productive member of society. Well quite frankly, I don't care what your problems are. I have shown the utmost respect for my parents my whole life and listened to the advice they offered, and today I'm a better man because of it. I guess if you on the same track as them advice is a good thing but I am beyond just on another track so any advice I am givin doesn't even apply to my life....whatever problems I have are my own...I am simply sickened by the fact that children are slaves....that's right slaves!!!.....but why even go on...your minds are wired to see something other than the truth.... As for becoming a productive member of the society...I am not a member of this society...and I will be fighting against it in the upcoming war. like I said though if you are not willing to do anything then don't bitch...I look at it as if you pay your own way...get to the movies your own way then you have no problem seeing the movie...if you have to ask to see it because of needing money or whatever then they can say no.... Joetheeskimo
Well said. My brother loves to fight back like that, and never once has he won. On the other hand, if he reasons with my mom, or if he says he'll do something in exchange, she usually changes her mind.
RoguePhotonic
I'm not talking about act stupid or some ****...it's pretty much just a logic thing....to tell you the truth if you don't have the mind for it you should never do any of the things I say because you can't just say some dumb **** like YOU CAN"T TELL ME WHAT TO DO!! HMMPH!!!...lol...of course if anyone had the mind for it we wouldn't be talking about this at all would we...it's a no win situation.

Agen
Uhh... What can possibly be so gory about ROTK? I've read the book and an on-screen presentation that is at maximum a 15 (they've all be 12 rattings so far) rating will not be any gorier than The Matrix Trilogy or T2... let's face it, they're absolutely not gory unless you find Soldier of Fortune with it's computerised graphics to be gut wrenching. Oooh look, tomato sauce Also, people pretending to not understand common wording that's used ALL OVER THE ENGLISH SPEAKING WORLD are totally not funny... in anyway... at all. yeah, in norway it has an 15 year old limit... but i still have tickets... Meh, what i find is that it's usually the guys who go all gay and out of their way to piss people off. Wait for the next showing which is usually about half an hour later and swap the tickets for a later showing and try again until you get in. (One of my friends is a midget ) Perhaps you think you're sounding quite clever or tough with all this talk, but to me all you sound like is the average angry teenager who thinks his whole life was somehow harder than everyone else's and therefore shouldn't have to be an actual productive member of society. Well quite frankly, I don't care what your problems are. All fair I have shown the utmost respect for my parents my whole life and listened to the advice they offered, and today I'm a better man because of it. Ah but that is purely your opinion on yourself which is not at all modest, I'm pretty sure at least one person has a different view on the way you acted and ended up. (Rogue for example ) Of course I'm totally neutral but just pointing out that's just your opinion. Well there is another example...grounded?...is it even legal for them to hold you in their house against your will?...nope it is not...all you have to do is walk out that door....I had my parents try to ground me once and that's just what I did....walked to the door gave em the finger and walked out. You might think that's very smart of yourself and a way of getting what you want and in a way it is a good way but a person to 'get their parents hooked round their little finger' is possibly a much happier and more gandhi-ish way of getting your own way rather than totally ignoring and pissing them off. Bongo, just persuade your mum, if she's thinks she's looking out for you then she has to take your feelings into account.
Darth Eggplant
hey make your mom watch the Two Towers! once she see's what a hunky stud muffin Gollum is she'll let you go for sure. she will go also just in case there is any hot sweaty bi-polar Slinker\Stinker action. DarkLord60
heh my dad hated the gollum he said it reminded him of Jar Jar Binks. Don't ask me why. Anyway you should just sneak out and see it. I mean she can't watch you 24-
CapNColostomy
Lmao @ this thread. Yeah, don't listen to your folks. Be a rebel. Be a winner. Maybe you can end up like this too http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=119727 You should've just rented the first one, and let her watch it. I don't live at home (I'm 28), but I loaned my mother the DVD and she loved it. She even asked to borrow the second one, and bought the book for ROTK. She normally hates that kind of stuff. Maybe you'll have the same luck.
