edlib
That's good news, if true! That never happens. But: Is it true? I have my doubts... especially since the URL isn't Lucasarts.com...
Thrik
Of course it is, the link goes to LucasArts' press page. You can see on the status bar before clicking. ;

Skinkie
It does look very very authentic. And if you click the link to the cancellation press release it still doesn't say lucasarts.com in the bar, so... if this isn't real I'm gonna shoot someone. Where's the hint that'll give it away as a slimy joke? Tell Me!
simonmhutchins
Yes it looks very real but if you go to the Lucas website and look at the press releases there is no sign of it. Bummer eh?
Joshi
Oh for monkeys sake! I just send a really carefully worded letter to the damn pr and now I read this!!!!! Crapola! (did I just use five exclamation marks? I think I'd better go lie down.) Still, this is the first time I've been online since wednesday so to find out it's been cancelled and then relaunched in the space of about an hour is pretty anti-climactic, but good at the same time. Thrik
It's totally genuine. Your old LucasArts.com cache must be interfering with it or something.
Mr Flibble
It had better be genuine! If its not, all those sternly worded, foul mouthed emails I sent were for nothing. I even sent Dom an email! Actually speaking of Dom, his address, darmato@compuserve.com doesn't work anymore. Got a current one?
simonmhutchins
I just went back on the Lucasarts website and I still can't find the press release - maybe I'm doing something dumb but I refreshed the page and it still just shows the latest press release stating the game is cancelled. (?) http://www.lucasarts.com/press/presscount.jsp?num=1 please tell me I'm wrong about this
Alien426
Aww, ****ing hell. Why won't anybody close this ****ing thread? I mean you close ****ing threads all the time just because people are talking nonsense (I'm not mad because it's one that I started). Why won't you ****ing close this **** where people are ****ing with dimwits who can't even tell a fake site. Come on, they don't even exploit the Internet Explorer bug (try this, it's for real). And will you let threads die a natural death in the future?
Thrik
That bug doesn't work whatsoever in IE anymore (it just presents a dead link), and in Firefox it just shows all the @ etc. Just fyi.
Jake
The game's still cancelled. Production hasn't resumed. Ignore Thrik's cruel joke. Closing the thread.
