BCanr2d2
I remember hearing Nothing Else Matters quite a few years ago, on two seperate local stations (who weren't doing any charts shows) with about a 10-15 second difference in the timing of the song..... (Scary) I agree that most of the ones that get played too much are the ones that the music companies have had to pay the most money to get them the appropriate airplay to sell enough units. Almost anything Bryan Adams, Whitney Houston or Mariah Carey are songs that I think are usually overplayed and dead set suck it majorly....... Kain
Staind - Its Been Awhile Unfortunantly, it apparently hasn't been LONG ENOUGH for them to get over it. They play Eminem's My Band alot too, but thats funny, so I don't care. I still hate anything that isn't hard rock though...f'ing Good Charollete... Mike Windu
These chicks don't even know the name of my band, but they're all on me like they wanna hold hands... woot great song. Oh my god... if I hear Toxic by Britney another time... I'm gonna cry. That song blows... and radio stations should really raise their standards of what is a hit nowadays... Actually I can understand that. Basically anything that is played on classic rock and roll radio is overplayed. But it is also a good step to finding artists you like. Behemian Rhapsody and Stairway to Heaven are both really overplayed, but there is also no doubt that those songs are probably the greatest the artist has ever made. Yes Acrylic, Stairway is the greatest Zep song ever. It may be played to much, but it is the greatest.

Crap ... those songs were overplayed when *I* was in junior high school ... and we had to chisel our homework on to stone tablets back then!!! Three songs that come to mind when I think of overplayed: - Feelings - Fly Like the Wind - You light up my life ... but they don't make the 'good' pile ... BongoBob
My radio station(X-107.5, for those that live in vegas ) is pretty good about not overplaying songs. Then again, if I hear that damn limp bizkut song again, I will shoot someone.

Mike Windu
That's not what she really says either. They editted it. It's a bad song IMO. But a lot of my friends like it so I don't say anything. Green Day and Fuel are also overplayed by Memphis radio. (Fuel used to live here so I can understand why)
