Im not sure how far long this is to release, or even if has been released in the US, but I am really *not* looking forward to this movie clashing these otherwise cool 'universes'... The Alien series in particular was excellent, and IMO this AvP business will just cheapen it.....

 

what do others feel ? VOTE !

I have my reservations about the basic plot - considering it's all supposed to take place on Earth not so far into the future, and certainly before the timeline of the first Alien movie.

 

The director of the movie is also not considered to be the best.

 

Having said that, I watched an AvP trailer regarding the effects, and they do seem to be trying very hard to get the best effects in there that they can. The scale is supposed to be very big - basically an all out war.

 

So it might be good, or it might be bad. Personally I will have to see it just to find out, and no doubt others will have the same inclination.

 

I do think they were wise to cut off the Predator films earlier on because the Alien series went on to include some forg

ettable also-ran sequels. It went downhill after Aliens, IMHO.

...okay, so anyways, I've read a few of them AvP comics. Not bad writing there...unlike the MOVIE WHERE THEY'RE IN ANTARTICA YOU ****ING IDIOT WRITERS!!

...anyone read Predator vs Batman. There was a lousy piece of writing. Seriously, who ever wrote that is probably on the MOVIE SCRIPT WRITING CREW WHERE THE PUT PREDATOR IN ANTARTICA THE ****ING IDIOT WRITERS!!

I'm looking forward to seeing the movie. Been needin' a Predator film for a long while....

Yeah i agree that it will have some cool moments but overall it will suck.

 

 

Also the director is Paul "Resident Evil" Anderson and we all saw what a classic that was.

 

Alien Ressurection was OK as a standalone movie, but it's an Alien film and it sucked compared to the first two. Not to mention the aliens in that film are among the most unimaginative in film history. And the less said about Alien 3, the better!

Well, considering no one on Earth knows of the existence of Alien after the events in the film (which is set long before the film Alien), then I guess that's a safe bet. :D

I wholeheartedly agree.... Alien and Aliens were standout films. The orginal Predator wasnt bad for its day either...

YES!!! AvP is going to be cool because it is just a money making venture exactly like Freddy vs Jason. Take 2 great storylines, throw them together in a all action sequence film...excitement written all over it!
