If they did, they'd know that Christians, Muslims, and Jews actually have a lot in common. But, of course, they just want a reason to kill people...... :(

That's really really messed up. =(

I sometimes wonder what part of a human brings itself to slay another in cold blood.

I'll agree with Z. Those people that did that can burn in the utmost depths of hell, beheaded repeatedly by the dark lord himself.

This whole situation is incredibly screwed up.

We feel anger towards Iraqis for incidents like this, but they're not all like that. And you can't think that many Iraqis don't feel this way about American soldiers these days.

All I can do is pray for our troops........they need it....

Some of the American troops have tortured the POW's from Iraq, but have never beheaded one and video-taped it........that's sick and sadistic....

Not all forms of POW mistreatment are reported, either, so this could be going on in more than one place.....

POW mistreatment occurs in every war, that's a given. But this is just horrible. It really crosses the line.

The important thing to remember here is not to be judge the Iraq people (no, not even the insurgents) by these horrific acts, just as, idealistically, the citizens of the United States should not be judged by the Abu Gharib (sp?) incident.

Jed - i made sure I said Iraqi Soliders, (maybe, I should refer to it as the Rebels?) not the cilvillians themselves.

Even the soldiers shouldn't, not all of them will do these kinds of horrible acts, much like all of our soldiers won't do POW mistreatment, right?

I do hope that wherever the bastards who did this go after death, I hope it's filled with flames.

Ditto. I'll be glad when we get a president that has a pair, and isn't worried about polls, upsetting European nations, etc...One that just scorches the entire middle eastern earth. Screw 'em, and their detainees. They got off easy.

Right back atcha, slick. And what does being a Muslim have to do with what I said anyway? You made my post about Muslims. Not me. I didn't say "Kill only the Muslims in the middle east!!!" I'm all for equality. I exclude no religion, creed, race, or nationality from my statement. And it's not like I really think that anyway. It's a little something I like to call exageration. I don't expect you to be able to read the tone of my voice, so I'll take your "F**K YOU TO HIGH HELL...." on the chin and walk on, this time.

well CapN, it is an emotional topic/thread. Of course we cant tell the tone of our voices, thats why sometiems we need to choose our words a bit more carefully. I really wasnt expecting anything in the line of exaggeration or sarcasm in this thread, even by you. In referring to the middle east, you are referring to the heart of the Islamic world, as barring Israel, every country comprising this geographical region practises Islam.

Its just hard to know where you're coming from sometimes.....

nonetheless, I would like to move on and re-iterate my sadness at this terrible incident, and hope the responsible parties are apprehended and justice is served. Roxstar and ZBomber made excellent comments above, the Koran is essentially the old testament plus the teachings of the prophet Muhammad. Claiming religious justification for what is basically criminal behaviour is ridiculous, and very disheartening for the Islamic community at large.

They're murderers. Killing innocent civilians is not the job of soldiers. That's left to them.

What I don't see is how exactly this helps them. Except to prove their barbarism over again, not that they haven't got the point across previously. What sympathy for the Abu-Gahraib prisoners I had has totally gone. There are no excuses for this type of behavior.

I don't know what kind of war this is against anymore. :(

So making their nation feel more like "yours" is bombing houses and killing hundreds of innocent civilians and torturing Iraqi's?
