The title of the sixth Harry Potter book will be

....

"Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince."

Rowling made the announcement on her Web site, JKRowling.com, although it took some knowledge of her site by dedicated fans to reveal the title. The path to find the title was explained on a fan's site, WizardNews.com, and was confirmed Tuesday by her literary agent/

doesn't give anything away does it?

Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

Harry Potter and the Order of the Pheonix

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

Honestly, how does that title not match the flow OR feel of the other titles?

It means that Voldemort is gonna be the main focus of this one

J.K. Rowling explains the hoax confusion and confirms that the title of book 6 is Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, and also says that the Half Blood Prince is not Harry or Voldemort.

It's not of anything.

1. The stone is of the sorcerer

2-5 something of something.

The prince is Percy, he's really adopted.

When I heard Half-blood Prince, I thought she meant Hagrid.

And I agree with Jokemaster, it doesn't sound right because it doesn't have any wording that suggests possession. Sorcerer's Stone, Prisoner of Azkaban, Order of the Phoenix, The Half-life Blood Prince. Doesn't fit in.

Besides, each title had a mystical quality to it. Sorcerer's Stone; sorcerer is magical. Chamber of Secrets; suggests some chamber filled with secrets. Prisoner of Azkaban; a prisoner from the most dangerous Prison in the world. Goblet of Fire; it's a goblet filled with fire. Order of the Phoenix; The Phoenix was a magical creature that would die and then regenerate itself. Half-Blood Prince..it sounds like some bad rap title. :p

It's my conclusion because he is very different from the other Weasleys.

Comon, a resonate cascade is SO much cooler than any stupid magic.

(Yeah, that's it. That was a purely intentional spelling mistake. Er...)

Don't you feel SMART now.

Half-life blood prince...:p

I really don't see anything wrong with the title, but you all can cry if you wish. Hagrid is the only one I can think of, because he's one of the few that's refered to as half-blood, as he's a half-giant.

Wizards with mixed muggle/wizard parentage are refered to as mudblood or mixed blood. At least....that's what I remember.

Harry will go on a muggle rampage, thats my bet.

Stupid title, but then again whats in a name except a few letters...of which some can be capital letters, or maybe numbers and characters...and maybe some effects nevermind

I won't touch that rap part because I would be banned.

Ahem... moving on.

Harry is a mudblood, though many fail to remember, or just don't care. The other qualities of Harry, his scar, his history, are more interesting to the wizard world than his mudblood.

The ministry had been ragging on Harry the entire fricking 5th book. Lets see how they handle He who must not be named.

Percy Weasley, I doubt he will come back to his family, and it would make a great turnaround if he became a DeathEater or something like that... Hell, he may be the key to Voldemort inside the Ministry of Magic.

I doubt Percy Weasley is adopted, he is alot like Bill, hi marks, etc.

The only difference about him is that he is willing to stake everything for success, whereas the rest of the Weasley's have just been the opposite, caring for others.
