obi
*sigh* I finally got a full-time job. I work at a very busy produce store in a very busy section of town. I work from 8 a.m. and do not get off untill 6 p.m. I work Monday-Saturday. My free time is spent with me sore and tired. I stayed on my feet for 4 hours straight before I could sit down for about 10 minutes. YAY FOR ME. I did have a job before, but it was only 2-3 hours a day. I might not be on as much now, but I'll check on you guys when I can. So, does anyone else have a job? If so, What is it? (And yes, you adults can laugh if this seems like nothing to you )

Dunno when I get the job though x_x and yeah, growing up kinda sucks, you finally have the money to get stuff, but none of the freetime to play/use the stuff x_x

SeleneRayne
Yeah, growing up sucks, but it is an inevitable part of life. I've been looking for a good job for awhile. Trying to do many things at the moment. Moving out, getting a job, getting a nice car instead of an old truck, going to classes to be an RN. Yeah, no fun. But it'll pay off in the end. Topsshot
No one said growing up and living life as an adult was easy. Believe it or not, I feel like a 5-year-old living inside of an 18-year-old body sometimes and yet I still need to complete my senior year in high school. Treacherous Mercenary
Too bad isolation isn't acceptable in this day and age. I graduated back in May, so now I have to get a job soon, etc, etc. Maybe I'll have some fun in the process.
CapNColostomy
Ahhh, don't let 'em discourage you man. As one of the "old people" around here, I'm happy to report it's either: A) Not so bad getting older, working, supporting a family. or: B) You just get numb to it and not care anymore. I'm not sure which category I fall into, myself! But I guess I'm saying you'll do fine. Stick it out.

Astrotoy7
Originally posted by obi-wan13 Thanks CapN I got my first paycheck yesterday, and that makes it all worthwhile my paycheck looks fantastic at the start too..... take out : (Im not even counting the ****load of tax the govt takes out) *mortgage *car loan *student loan *car running costs etc = astro is left with SH*T, just enough to maybe get some lunch factor into that bills, rates, women and kid related costs and your f***ked... so, this is where the beauty and paradox of what being an adult is.... at the end of the day, I have just as much money left as some 15yo chump who works at McDonalds (no offense to any 15 yos here who work at McDonalds ) *sigh* uses credit card(another joy) to purchase porn to drown his sorrows yeah, I definitely fall into the 'gone numb' category..... mtfbwya
Nalukai
heh you should try standing over a 450 broiler cooking steaks and whatnot 6 days a week 3 doubles 7-10 hours without a break. then use what little money you make from that to pay rent, phone, cable, electricity, gas, credit cards, health and car insurance, debt loans and maybe then have enough left over to buy some food or maybe fix a dying vehicle....thats life son....youll get used to it... Troopr-Undr-Fir
Yeah, looks like I fall into the numb slot. But another down side to that is, I'm the Assistant manager of a Best Buy, so I work like 11 - 13 hour days. And add the fact I don't have a set weekly schedule, so it is some times impossible to set up vacations. A plus is that I can take one day off when ever I want, just one, not one one day, and one the next. So I guess it's kinda a plus Yeah and I've been doin this for awhile now. I hope you at least get a couple of breathes in before it sucks you under completely Obi Oh and you should listen to astro on this one (I know, a first) I make alright money at waht I do, and I can't even afford a decent internet connection. *grabs club* Me Troopr...Me go take shower
The_One
When I saw the thread title, I thought this was going to be a thread about pubic hair. Anyway, I finished school forever the other day, and my part time job is now going to become full time. I work in the mail order department of a music retailer. It's pretty good fun, and the pay is fine But now I'm working full time, I have to pay income tax Ah well, it could be worse. I start on Wednesday, which should give me a chance to get over the hangover from the past two days and tomorrow...
