bentwookie77
Another thing about a TV series is they could never have any of the main characteres playing a significant role (Luke, Han, Leia...) because Mark Hamill or Harrison Ford probably aren't going to be on TV and there a little old as well. If different actors were used to play the main characters, there woudl be a huge outcry from the fan base about it not being the same. ...But then again Lucas did that with all of the OT DVD changes now didnt he.... Lynk Former
Yeah he did make OT changes but really the biggest and "baddest" change was the replacing of the Anakins at the end. I'm sure they're smart enough not to try to fill main character roles from the movie with some other actors and will try to expand on the universe with a different and new story. If not. They're more stupid than I thought XD Of course making a TV Show in the first place kinda sucks a little because it doesn't make it movie exclusive anymroe but it's confirmed... can't stop progress... El Sitherino
I'd like to see it be kinda, Shadows of the Empire or something. Dash Rendar would be a fun character to see in an actual star wars filming.

It would have to be EU (with a story not revolving around main characters), or a side-story of the series. I also think it might have to be set within the OT, because I believe that would probably bring the broadest audience
Ockniel
I think that it would be cool just to see a story about boba fett. I mean, hes just a kid now, so he'll be like, "Star Wars again?!?! SURE!!!" they will probably even get him cheap. and then maybe a cameo everyone and a while from obiwan or something... yodas already CG... and you could use just about anybody for jedi... I think that THAT wouold be cool.

I would love to see like a side story about Dash Rendar, I have no idea why, I just would love to see it. and for added effect. Originally posted by Lynk Former Kid Boba Fett?... god no ^ smart. In TPM they basically said the same thing, but then gave a biological reason for it, rather than the artsie fartsie karma crap. Actually, they state that midiclorians are only the interface between beings and the Force, not the Force itself. The Force is still a mystical thing. Thank goodness. jedispy
I guess you're right. Qui Gonn said that "they tell us the will of the Force." Still, he also said that without them, life could not exist. So I guess without them there would be no empirical evidence that the Force exists. Nevertheless, not a contradiction in SW. kipperthefrog
I say the only point where Luca$ screwed up is Jake Loyd, he should have casted christenson in the first place! (and kept qui gon alive!) the story lines were weak in one and too too! the storylines and dialoge in the classic trilogy was outstanding! it got me hooked on star wars first time i saw it! Sivy
Jake Lloyd's performance wasn't great, but then finding a good child actor is very rare. maybe GL should of had a GCI young anakin instead GL could of made him older, but then being taken away from his mother wouldn't have made the same impact. a 9 year old is still very dependent on his/her mother. Codja X
Maybe he'll do a young Han Solo chronicles, very much in the in vein of the Young Indy Chronicles?
Vagabond
Come on people, tell me who here wouldn't love to see a live-action TV series about the life and times of the most fearsome bounty hunter in the galaxy, Boba Fett? You know, in the exapanded universe, there is a quite interesting rivalry between Boba Fett and IG-88 that would be great to see explored on the small screen. As someone else had mentioned, the life on the fringe, centered around the adventures of a group of smugglers, gamblers, and all around scoundrels would be lots of fun. People who had no love for the Empire, but weren't squeaky-clean enough to want any association with the Rebels, despite any sympany they might have for their cause. No, these misfits would exist in the twilight world between good and evil, toasting their misdeeds with charity in their hearts. And let's not forget that not every single Jedi is slain at the end of Episode III - the purge continues for sometime afterward. Consider the compelling drama of following the remaining Jedi in a live-action series, not unlike Highlander, waiting for the inevitable end from the onslaught of stormtroopers, bounty hunters such Boba Fett, Bossk, 4-LOM, Zuckuss, Dengar, IG-88, and lastly, the Dark Lord of the Sith, Darth Vader. Some fleeing Jedi might go out in a blaze of glory, while others turn their back on their heritage, fall from grace, and go into hiding in shame. Still others may plant the seeds of a future generation of Jedi, both literally and figuratively, planing for a future resurrection of the Jedi order, perhaps even scribing their souls into Jedi Holocrons that one day the light might shine again. There are so many possibilities that could come from this - I just wish I could be a part of it to help filter out the crap ideas from the the good
fuzzyfreaker
I'm really not that excited. Star Wars has never really done well with these things, Clone Wars, Ewoks, Droids? *twitch*
Sivy
the clone wars were good. ok it was a little annoying that they were so short. but i'm looking forward to the DVD and watching them all uninterrupted.

Sivy
UPDATE: in an interview with Howard Roffman, president of licensing for LucasFilm he said this... Yes, in autumn 2006 there will be a complete live action Star Wars TV series made by Lucasfilm
jedispy
I dunno. I'm still a little scared about this. SW is sacred. TPM was borderline heresy. I'm afraid how a TV show will work. Hold me.
mr.piercy
>>> no matter what time period it is set in, i hope they use plastic masks and body suits, combined with CG to give it that Star Wars - y feel. u know like Greedo's costume in Star Wars? Shok_Tinoktin
It takes three years to make a 120 minute movie. At 20 minutes a piece and at least 20 episodes in a season, a season would have 400 minutes of footage. So doesnt it stand to reason that it would take 10 years to make a live action TV series that is the same caliber as the movies? Somethings gonna give. I would like to see a mini-series where they do just a couple episodes and they are good quality. Maybe about a fighter squadron or something.
