sith_master2000
I've always wondered what TPM would be like if that stupid, screwed up, horribly insane, long toungued, ugly, stupid (I know I put stupid twice but it's so horribly stupid I had to put it on again), stinky, bad english speaking MORON Jar Jar Binka wasn't in TPM, would people like it more? I know I would! Anyway what do you guys think? *What sith_master2000 wants too do to Jar Jar Binks* MELT IT DOWN BLAST IT WITH A ROCKET LAUNCHER HACK AT IT WITH A CHAINSAW TORCH IT WITH A FLAMETHROWER BLAST IT WITH A CANNON Yes I'm happy now! Lynk Former
Firstly, the other characters would have to provide a bit more comedy but they'd definately do it better than Jar Jar XD IMO, Threepio and Artoo are the only way to go when it comes to the funnies. Vader523
Without Jar Jar, this would be a much better movie. I almost killed myself after 20 minutes of non-stop "Wesa go see Gungans now okie day? Mesa banished okie day? OHHHH NNOOOO big bad sea alien is comin after wesa!!!!" I wanted to stand up and go "SHUT THE F**K UP AND DIE!" What was George Lucas thinking when he made Jar Jar? He serves NO purpose but to take Amidalas place in Ep. 2 to give emergancy powers, which anyone could have done. Without Jar, Jar this movie would be one of my favorites (But I still like it anyway... I skip past all the Jar Jar scenes).

Yeah Threepio and Artoo are the only funny characters, Lucas said he designed Artoo and Threepio to be the funny characters of the Saga but Jar Jar... I think Lucas only made Jar Jar to appeal to young audiences, the worst mistake in the history of SW.

But it couldn't be just anyone. It had to be someone who could be duped and manipulated into thinking it was a good idea. JJ fits the bill. But yes, things would be better without him. Sabretooth
Without Jar-Jar... none of the OT would have happened. He was teh one who gave emergency powers, remember?
Sivy
He serves NO purpose but to take Amidalas place in Ep. 2 to give emergancy powers, which anyone could have done. wrong Padme was campaigning AGAINST the creation of an army for the republic. Palaptine wanted emergency powers so he could create an army without the senate's approval. only someone like jar-jar, who thinks with his heart instead of his head, could have been dubbed into giving palpatine the power to create an army to save his friends. eventhough he was allowing the thing that padme was so dead against. Well that just proves how much of a light-headed moron this thing is. Padmé must have been sh***ing herself when she was with Anakin thinking about what she had done; I could just imagine what she's thinking: "My god, I left JAR JAR IN MY PLACE!!!!" I know thats what I would be saying/thinking.
kipperthefrog
Luca$ said Jar Jar would apeal to children. Personally, I wouldn't insult kid's intelegence by saying kids would like him! when my little couson kevin said he liked Jar Jar Binks, I told him "Nobody likes Jar Jar Binks!" but then again' looks like I had been wrong! my mom said Jar Jar reminded her of one of my friends! he's tall, skinny, wirey, goofy, and annoing and had big ears! I say Jar Jar was like Roger Rabbit! any one ELSE notice the Roger Rabbit simularities? lets compare Lando and Han vs Jar Jar: LANDO AND HAN- I thought "Lando and Han made MUCH better generals!" THEY were more serius! Lando and Han were more realistic and intellegent as generals! JAR JAR- When Jar Jar was general, he ALWAYS won aginst the battle droids by acident! With goofy Jar Jar in charge of fighting the battle droids, It looked to me like a CARTOON! I swear! PS: I sensed a great distubance in the force! As if Disney bought Star Wars From Luca$ and now making kid movies! Millions of fans cry out in terror, and were sudenly silenced!
DarthBuzzard
TPM would be watchable without him. I'm a kid, was 9 when I saw TPM, and I was like...Why the hell include him in here? He's a ******g IDIOT! And if he's supposed to appeal to kids, Luca$ was right...EVERYONE at school was talking like, "Meesa noob thatsa wont shut the ****sa upsa!"...I couldn't stand it. Evil Dark Jedi
Without Jar-Jar the Seperatists would have taken over Naboo. So he is supposed to be in. He made the whole of the Star Wars Saga what it was suposed to be.
DarthBuzzard
So? Have another gungan, or better yet, a still stupid race that could be fooled into Palpy's scheme, but be non-annoying...

Jar Jar was a critical character, but he was too stupid to watch on screen. I cringe when he appears in any part of the prequels. Multiple errors plague the prequels, but Jar Jar could have been heavily edited. He stood out as a crap element, annoying and screwed. Forget the little kids! Star Wars is for the 80s generation (well, and those who consider origins of the third quarter of the 70s)!

sith_master2000
Well I just hope the in Ep 3 you see someone (hopefully Anakin) stirke down that damn gungan and then you see all of his brains (about the size of a droplet of water) leak out onto the ground MWAHAHAHAHA!!! By now I'm sure everyone knows that I really really really hate that gungan.
Kryllith
Least you say "that" Gungan. I know a number of people who berate the entire Gungan race because of Jar Jar. Personally I like the Gungans. Jar Jar's rather annoying when he's trying to be (though to be honest, he's not ALWAYS annoying, he's pretty serious when he's talking to Amidala/Padme about the future of the Naboo and the Gungans and mentions the Gungan army). I accept him because he's a misfit of society, and not just his own. Said misfits exist, and I've met a few that are far more annoying than Jar Jar. Yeah, he's meant to be more directed at little kids, and as a result can be annoying, but other than the "exsqueeze me" which seems a rip from Waynes World and the "How wude" which sounds like the Olsen twins playing Michelle Tanner, rather than sounding like an homage to C-3PO in the OT, I don't have much of a problem with him. Nice to know the misfits actually wind up on the good side once in a while rather than missing Han Solo at point blank (which never should have happened away) . Shok_Tinoktin
I don't think that many more people would like the movie more without Jar Jar, I think people just say that because he personifies the difference between the feel of TPM and the original trilogy. IMO, people would find other things to complain about if Jar Jar was not there.
El Sitherino
Originally posted by Shok_Tinoktin people would find other things to complain about if Jar Jar was not there. and they do, people complained even after the mass transfering of the phantom edit. in which jar jars scenes were cut short, with little to no speaking. people still complained about other things, even the way the grass looks. people just like to complain because they're foolish and can't just accept that it's a movie, and that if they dont' like it, they don't have to watch it. also, If you don't like it say so once, then be quiet, please. Lieutenant_kettch
couldn't they have made jarjar a little less annoying and still made him part of the story, he seemed worthless, they could have easily made him important, although, he comes in handy during AOTC... could he have been part of palpatines plan? i.e. thats the real reason the TF attacked naboo... in which casse, i may grom to like jar jar
Shok_Tinoktin
the attack on Naboo was to boost sympathy for the Senator from Naboo, and to give him a catalyst to attack Valorum.
