Acrylic
Well, people, I have my school's talent show coming up on Tuesday (2 days), and I'm incredibly excited. We're going to be playing Panama by Van Halen and Rock n' Roll by Led Zeppelin. (we played Rock n' Roll last year, but people wanted to hear it again, so we're gonna do it again.) Anyways, us, as a band, we're gonna dress in "tighter" clothing. So, I decided to go all out and dress 70's style, and this is the outfit I chose: EDIT - Yeah, my digital camera has really bad quality, thats why my face looks blurry... EDIT 2 - Also, maybe post your comments on the outfit and whatnot, the more criticism, the better.

Tyrion
I would suggest a jean jacket instead of the stripped shirt, but I have no idea what shirt you should wear. Kickass jeans, however. Be happy you're not playing The Beatles music, else you would have to have mop tops and suits.

I dunno about a jean jacket since I don't have one...but I would take that into consideration if I had one. All these clothes (except for the shoes = my dads, and the belt = mine) are my mom's. Since I had no desire to buy new clothes, my mom let me use hers.' And as far as the Beatles go, only one of the other guys in my band likes them instead of me. So its a 1/2 split. I so would've wanted to do "Something" or "Strawberry Fields Forever". And thanks all for the nice comments!

I mean, it's just not Beatles without I Feel Fine.

I feel fine is a good idea, but Something is a really touching song to me. I LOVE IT. Something and Strawberry Fields Forever are my fave Beatles songs. But last year, so many people didn't know I was in that band because I was wearing a hat. Keep in mind, we were THE most popular band at the thing (or so everyone says), so I want to be known. Father Torque
No aviators, this isnt the eagles man, this is Van Halen they dont wear no aviators. :rolleyes Dude if you want to be true Van Halen I suggest you steal a pair of pink spandex from your moms closet and rip some tighty witeys from your dad. Then wear a ripped white shirt with gravy stains on it. Hells ya, thats Van Halen for ya. ... Or you could just wear what your wearing in the picture

edlib
Originally posted by Father Torque No aviators, this isnt the eagles man, this is Van Halen they dont wear no aviators. Hey now... I wasn't going by what I thought VH would actually wear... although I KNOW that I've seen David Lee Roth in mirrored sunglasses (watch a few of those old videos again: Panama or Hot For Teacher in particular) but those glasses would fit perfectly with what Acrylic was wearing in the photo; making a perfect "Late-70's-to-early-to-mid-80's" vibe. Sunglasses are always an essential part of that equation. But maybe that's just me...
