starmark2k Posted November 29, 2004 Posted November 29, 2004 these are the four who tell stories in the game that have little to do with the main story so who tells the best
Grishnakh Posted November 29, 2004 Posted November 29, 2004 I think HK-47, but I'm pretty tired of the other NPC's stories by now.
starmark2k Posted November 29, 2004 Author Posted November 29, 2004 My favourite was jollee. I liked the story about the jedi with the destiny and became overconfident.
Aleggy Posted November 29, 2004 Posted November 29, 2004 its HK for me i tend to find all the others rather tedious after a while yet HK with all his comments is still somewhat amusing
ChAiNz.2da Posted November 29, 2004 Posted November 29, 2004 Jolee for me. His was really the only story that I myself agreed with my pc's response choices as far as wanting Jolee to "get to the point already".  Plus his 'drawn out' story revealed alot about why Jolee is the way he is (cranky, stubborn, etc...stuff I aspire to be ) The humor was just an added bonus  HK however is definitely a very close 2nd.

FiEND_138 Posted November 29, 2004 Posted November 29, 2004 ^^ Â Boss walked in.... Â Anyways, the subtle humor, the stuborness, & general crankiness. Â 'I did it all for the wookiees.' Â 'The wookiees?' Â 'The wookiees.'
90SK Posted November 29, 2004 Posted November 29, 2004 Its close between HK and Jolee, but I think Jolee pulls out on top. He had a heart, for one thing, and the lines were great. Â "I hate you old man.":p
Darth333 Posted November 29, 2004 Posted November 29, 2004 Originally posted by Grishnakh I think HK-47, but I'm pretty tired of the other NPC's stories by now. Rabble rabble... what are you saying. [/Jolee]
RedHawke Posted November 29, 2004 Posted November 29, 2004 Actually it is a Tie between HK-47 and Jolee Bindo for me, as both have stories and lines in the game that are hilarious. Originally posted by Darth333 [Jolee] *Sigh* I have no idea what you're talking about. Rabble rabble... what are you saying. [/Jolee] [HK-47] And all that water... how the constant sloshing doesn't drive you mad... I don't know. [/HK-47] Â [HK-47] [Extrapolation] I am sure the residents of Sleheyron were fishing pieces of Bochaba out of their soup for some time. [/HK-47] Â [Jolee] Go on! My throat is dry and you are making me cranky... shoo! [/Jolee] Â [Jolee] What were we talking about again? [/Jolee]
Darth333 Posted November 30, 2004 Posted November 30, 2004 I have to admit that Hk-47 made me laugh more than once... Â [HK-47] Expletive: Damn it, master, I am an assassination droid... not a dictionary![/HK-47]
starmark2k Posted November 30, 2004 Author Posted November 30, 2004 although they weren't the best what did you think of canderouses war storys, i enjoyed some of them.
Cthik Xegony Posted November 30, 2004 Posted November 30, 2004 HK-47: I know it's hard master, I guess it is just our lot in life. Shall we kill something to cheer ourselves up? Â Â Â
RedHawke Posted November 30, 2004 Posted November 30, 2004 Originally posted by starmark2k although they weren't the best what did you think of canderouses war storys, i enjoyed some of them. They were all right, but they were strictly war stories, though the one about his first battle in the Basalisk War Droid was a pretty good one. Â HK-47's and Jolee's stories were more humorous and informative than just intense and serious like Canderous' were, that is why they scored higher for me IMHO.
Overthrow Jack Posted December 5, 2004 Posted December 5, 2004 Canderous was my favorite character overall, but I enjoyed Jolee's company a lot more because he was such a crotchety old man. Especially loved the story about the guy who got thrown into an energy shaft and saved the galaxy. HK was alright, but, meh. And I hated Juhanti. I went darkside three out of four times just so I could gut her, but then I figured out that I could off her a lot earlier in the game, and my God, that was satisfying. The bitch must die.
Darth Omegacron Posted December 9, 2004 Posted December 9, 2004 I'm surprised more people haven't voted for Canderous. I mean, yeah, sure - HK had some of the funniest comments in the game, but they were more just comments than actual stories. Â I dunno - I've always been kinda partial to Mandalorians in general, and I always wanted to learn more about the early ones. The "Jedi Knight" series of graphic novels gave us some insight into how the Mandalorians began and lived, but it was only a taste. Â In this game, Canderous and his war stories offer another glimpse into that lifestyle. To the Mandalorians, war wasn't just a means to an end -- it was a religion unto itself. Reminds me of Klingons. Â ::sniff:: slinks off, depressed that he wasn't born a Mandalorian or Klingon. Â
Overthrow Jack Posted December 10, 2004 Posted December 10, 2004 I know your pain. I wish I was a bumpety headed New Zealander as well. Q'PLAH FOR MANDOLORE!
Dark Lord Simus Posted December 12, 2004 Posted December 12, 2004 I vote for jolee. He has pretty tight stories about Exar Kun's uprising, his wife, etc. Though it friggen took me forever to finish it all.
call me SaS Posted December 15, 2004 Posted December 15, 2004 Closer, so close... Jolee. But i almost perfer their side banter with the game triggered conversations... Having Canderous and Jolee with you when you get to korriban(sp)... or HK 47 in the... pub(so i forgot how to spell canteena ). I think that may be missing a little in 2.
Joetheeskimo Posted December 18, 2004 Posted December 18, 2004 HK-47, I like his sense of humor and complete disregard for human life
