wassup Posted January 21, 2005 Posted January 21, 2005 http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/4190699.stm Now that John Kerry has been taken out of the picture, it seems the "righteous" conservatives have set their crosshairs on more, shall we say, square targets.
IG-64 Posted January 21, 2005 Posted January 21, 2005 I never thought spongebob looked gay. I kinda wondered about the eyelashes thing... thats kinda weird... But I never thought he was gay...
Shok_Tinoktin Posted January 21, 2005 Posted January 21, 2005 WAFF spokesman Mark Barondeso told the newspaper that anyone who thought the video promoted homosexuality "needs to visit their doctor and get their medication increased". I think this says it all.
Hermie Posted January 21, 2005 Posted January 21, 2005 how.....but.......I mean........huh..........what?! [edit]*finds it best to run away before Mike Windu finds this thread*
Rogue15 Posted January 21, 2005 Posted January 21, 2005 o please. i don't really like spongebob.....but....come on.....that is so...true...... now, lets all hold hands and sing some nursery rhymes. note: i am just being sarcastic
IG-64 Posted January 21, 2005 Posted January 21, 2005 Originally posted by Herminator how.....but.......I mean........huh..........what?! [edit]*finds it best to run away before Mike Windu finds this thread* Nah, he'll probably just think it's dumb.
Rogue15 Posted January 21, 2005 Posted January 21, 2005 yeah the kids are all gettin brainwashed....XD more like..reprogrammed. who really givesadamn tho. i for one don't care, but.... I know 2 homosexual people IRL and i personally find them to be very weird...when i first saw them [one is a gay and the other is a lesbian] i couldn't determine what gender they were...i mean come on, how can that not be weird...? does me finding them to be weird make me homophobic? cause...i still treat them like i treat any other human being...except thinking differently about them...
jon_hill987 Posted January 21, 2005 Posted January 21, 2005 Eh? What? I mean I knew Tinky winky was gay, but spongebob?
El Sitherino Posted January 21, 2005 Posted January 21, 2005 Oh for ****s sake. "We see the video as an insidious means by which the organisation is manipulating and potentially brainwashing kids," Paul Batura, a spokesman for Focus on the Family yes, unlike your fine organisation.
jon_hill987 Posted January 21, 2005 Posted January 21, 2005 There are two problems with their argument. 1: Most of the kids watching spongebob are too young to understand/see any gay reference in the cartoon. 2: and this is the biggy, I don't think a cartoon can atually turn you gay. It might make you more tolerant of homosexuals, and more likely to come out if you are gay but it aint gonna make you gay.
swphreak Posted January 21, 2005 Posted January 21, 2005 "Square... the shape of evil homosexuality!" - Plankton Yeah I watched a few episodes with my little cousin. I guess we're gay now?
TK-8252 Posted January 21, 2005 Posted January 21, 2005 Even if it were some sort of pro-gay propaganda (which it's not), what the hell is wrong with promoting tolerance? It's actually not a bad idea. There'd be less violence towards homosexuals in schools. I suppose these conservatives promote bullying and the regular beatings of gays in schools?
Revan Solo Posted January 21, 2005 Posted January 21, 2005 In my country gay people can marrie and found their own family!
Rogue15 Posted January 21, 2005 Posted January 21, 2005 heh its not really a family if they can't have kids. man....that would totally suck to be a kid with gay parents...=\
ET Warrior Posted January 21, 2005 Posted January 21, 2005 Originally posted by Rogue15 man....that would totally suck to be a kid with gay parents...=\ Yeah! I'd totally rather have two straight parents who fight all the time and eventually get divorced so I can have a single mother who has to work to jobs just to feed me! Not that that is what happens in all straight relationships, but wouldn't it be better to have two loving fathers / mothers than parents that hate each other / only one parent who cannot support you?
Rogue15 Posted January 21, 2005 Posted January 21, 2005 wha? you make it seem like gays don't fight w/eachother....
Acrylic Posted January 21, 2005 Posted January 21, 2005 Originally posted by Rogue15 man....that would totally suck to be a kid with gay parents...=\ Totally. Originally posted by ET Warrior Yeah! I fail to see your point here. I have a mother who loves me and supports me, and I have a father who loves me and supports me. They have been married for 20 years now.

He means its better to have two gay parents that love eachother and you than strait parents that hate eachothers guts.
El Sitherino Posted January 21, 2005 Posted January 21, 2005 Originally posted by Rogue15 heh its not really a family if they can't have kids. not really, because they can have a kid. Artificial Insemination or adoption. Originally posted by Rogue15 man....that would totally suck to be a kid with gay parents...=\ Not really. This is alot like those people that blame violence on video games and tv shows.
ZBomber Posted January 21, 2005 Posted January 21, 2005 Originally posted by InsaneSith This is alot like those people that blame violence on video games and tv shows. Except to a greater degree. :|
El Sitherino Posted January 21, 2005 Posted January 21, 2005 Originally posted by ZBomber Except to a greater degree. :| actually I think murder and other acts of violence are a greater concern than being a fag.
GothiX Posted January 21, 2005 Posted January 21, 2005 Classmate of mine has homosexual parents. They love eachother, he loves them, and they're happy.
