this may be weird but Gsccc what is your website i would like to download that video but the link in "where can i find mods" is a broken link so can you please tell me it and great screens elderon they may be "unpolished" but they exceed my expectations it reminds me of some of the cutscenes in jedi knight darkforces 2 they look great cant wait to download this

I did the commentary actually >_>. There have been some rumors that I am a girl because of my avatar, and if you are new i can understand that... but lo i am indeed a man, I just love Ghost in the Shell. But that is simply another subject.

 

Anyways as far as the Video Updates go, there will be more to come as I reveal more of the tech stuff that will be in this mod. Some of the stuff I am planning actually will be completely new to the game and will be discussed later in this post.

 

To answer your question Pavlos, yes there will be more dialog choices, but for different dialogs, remember these dialogs are not the only ones in the game :). For instance, the dialogs for you Party members will have 5-6 Begining replies and for when you ask about their background there will be even more replies in those. Basically any real plot nessesary/ important dialogs will have many replies.

 

Anyways I thought that now might be a good time to tell you about some of the new things that will be in the mod, system wise.

 

-Sidequests will be much more in depth, they will require more of your mind than your lightsaber or your ability to walk. An Example would be the Arbiter quest in Kotor 1, some sidequests will require you to gather evidence and make theories based off of what you find. Sometimes the person you are helping might be a bad guy and you will have to find out who to trust. There will be a sidequest like this in the tech demo where you have to help a man find his monkey... dont ask.

 

-Training room in your transport, the D-Wing. You will be able to take your pc into a virtual reality training room where you can gain some experiance. (Note: You will not be able to use this as a cheap way to get to level cap as there are max levels you can get to in each interval that you use the training room) This will also be in the tech demo, only in the tech demo, the training room will also demonstrate the Non-Party NPC squad capabilities which will also be in the game later on.

 

-Charles will teach you some key essential force powers when he trains you. This way you dont just get shoved into jedi knowing only the two force powers that you picked when you got that level. He will teach you the basic force powers, as well as some that you will require to get you through certain situations, like Mind Trick.

 

At the moment that is all i can think of, but i know there are more in there somewhere. Anyways, more updates when they come!

Texture needs a bit of work, but the mapping and the mesh itself are done :D

 

Not the first pic, but the secound pic is great. I think Elderon was talkin about the first pic.

 

Actually, I was talking about both. The fist one has messed up engine glows in the D-wing (they don't show up becouse of the shield hit effect). And there some other minor things taht need tweaking - like the turrets on the D-wing traking the sith fighters (there will be more).

 

On the second pic, there's still a lot to do. I need to add dozens of fighters zipping all around, laser bolts flying in all directions, small explosions on the bigger ships and of course, a big explosion with debris when one of them gets tagged :D

 

And there will be a lot more good things to dome..trust me on that.

If you upgrade yourself from padawan->Jedi->Jedi Knight and gain new powers, Kotor won't work. It's build on choosing feats and skills.

 

PS: You could try and play SW Jedi Academy. Very neat story, wehere you start as padawan, and end as a Knight.

Been there, done that!

I love the way TSL worked so I'm waiting for new story mods with baited breath.

Was just curious about adding a low jedi class.

 

As for the gaining skills part, my chain of thought was as a padwan class you can only learn level 1 force sensitive skills (i.e Jedi Defense and the first lightsaber skill) and the level 1 force powers.

Then when you choose the class you want the rest of the options become available to you.

Well since we cant add classes to the classes.2da, that wont be possible. Replacing classes is the only way to go and ass I have already switched around the classes i have very little room to add any of those things.

 

L0rdReV@n88: Yes there will be other custom armor in the game and we have many custom lightsabers and rifles and pistols.

Sorry for my post then. If you put it that way, it could work indeed.

As a padawan, it will be a surprise what kind of new choosable feats will come with the enxt promotion. It could work in that case. :)

 

To bad it can't be done though :)

 

On subject:

Just wondering: Since you are alignent to the Republic, will you come by some stuff regarding the movies/novels? Like statues for Luke etc?

Slight clarification. Adding new classes is possible but only if they are non force using classes. ie Soldier or scout type classes. I remember stoffe -mbk- wrote a post about it ages ago. I saved a hardcopy of it to my hard drive incase I ever decided to make new classes.
