T7nowhere
Ok here is a sneek peak at a group project in the works By svösh, Seprithro, ChAiNz.2da, and myself T7nowhere. Objective: The goal of this project is to include all of our saber hilts in one easy to use download and to intergrate them into the games natural flow of events. Part 1: The first part of the title "Ultimate Lightsaber Project" is the fact that there is currently 33 unique Hilt models being added in one package, But the focus of this project is to not just add 33 new unique saber hilts but to also make the majority of them available in all the primary Lightsaber colors(5 color varients). Part 2: This is the second part of the title "Ultimate Lightsaber Project". For those that don't understand why it would be a big deal to make 5 color varients for the majority of the hilt models, I'll explain. for each color Varient you must also have a model and 5 colors = 5 models, so do that 33 times and you have 165 models. As such this project is going to suck up alot of model Vars. So knowing that the majority of lightsaber mods stay within the 10-99 mark, we have started at var 100 and are steadily headed toward 225(ATM). 255 is the limit that this mod will hit{For each Saber type}as it is the limit of available model vars in a Gff file. This project is still very much a Work in Progress and as such we ask that you please be patient. We are workiing hard to get this out in a timely manner, But we all want it to be done well. So to avoid saying it later "The Mod will be done when its done!" Part 3: Now on to list a few features of this mod: It should be noted this mod is not intended to give you the player a lightsaber from the start of the game, but instead to enhance what is already there. Feature 1: Instead the player will have the choice of building one of the several new hilts as part of the Lightsaber quest, this is ofcourse on the condition that you have one of the new Color crystals already in your inventory. Don't worry they will be available by the time you have all the lightsaber parts to build your first saber You will also be able to find fully built Lightsabers through out the game. Feature 2: The second Part is to give each of the npc's that can be trained as a jedi their own custom lightsaber. This time you will not have the option of how the Hilt looks but you will be able to choose the blade color. Also Npc's that are already jedi(Visas and Kreia) will also get their own custom hilts made by our Resident Pixel Master svösh. Feature 3: The third Part is to give the other main Jedi and Sith Characters in the story their own unique hilts. Currently Seprithro has made Darth Nihilus' new lightsaber and is working on Darth Sion's Hilt and Master Vrooks. Svösh is also building Atris's, Master Vash's and Master Kavar's new hilts. ChAiNz.2da is building Master Zez-Kai Ell . A full list of all the new hilts will be posted at a later time. Ok so this is the Basic out line of where this mod is headed. There are a few more features I'm working on But I would prefer to not present them until I have them working Until the completion of this project here are some screens to tide you over. Check out our Mod Gallery here From the Gallery you will be able to scan through some of the hilts that are going to be included in the Project. As we progress on the mod more screens will be added, so check back often.
ninjaguy
most impressive... the BoM and the BA-122 Prototype are truly unique, and all the sabers done by Sep are just fantastic to have to choose between these would be equivalent like casting force horror on me! Emperor Devon
That's a very good idea to give the important characters their own sabers - why would everyone's saber look the same?
Arlen Treesong
I have to say I'm most interested in Nihilus's sabre, I love the crescent design.

Darkkender
Those look great T7. What number in the model string are you starting those at? The reason I ask I've also got a joint effort saber mod in the works that I have programmed into the entire 20's block. It's early enough for me I can still change them if I must. But I must say the prospective of this upcoming mod makes me giddy.

I know that there won't be much of the shortsbr vars used... it's the reg's that are "hefty"... I do however know right off hand I personally used #170-179 in reg, #100-104 in short, and #170-179 in dbl (so far)
Shadow Blaze
T7 any chance you could add mine at all? It isn't up at pcgamemods yet but it is done and I could just send you the file. You can check out the pics at the topic I made for it.

ChAiNz.2da
After being under cchargin's "gag order" for testing, prepping for this mod and seeing all the fantastic mods being released by the 'veterans' and new talent, it was pure torture not being able to say "Yeah I'm working on something too!"... Personally, I'm just glad the 'secret' is out so I can say "really, I swear I'm not being lazy" I'd also like to take the opportunity to thank T7, Seprithro & svösh for giving me an opportunity to work with the "Modeling Masters"... and to cchargin for allowing me to be on the "testing squad" for the new MDLOps.... never would've seen that coming, but I'll take it when I can... Just a little 'heads up', this thing is going to be HUGE. If you don't have broadband, find a friend that does... hehe.. My 3 saber models alone (thus far) is already at 11mb... (skins, icons, etc.). So in more ways than one, this thing is a Monster
