Andy867
I just got back from the 10:30 showing at an IMAX screen and I must say that, despite a tidbit of nitpicking, I thoroughly enjoyed Revenge of the Sith. I truly felt that a lot of things that were on my mind for questions were answered in the movie, though there were some major things that I wish had been done differently. I really felt that if Lucas had budged into making the movie 3 hours, he could have gotten in key sequences that the film lacked. I felt some of the scenes were rushed and didnt show the movie's potential. Some thigns I felt were rushed were the battle of Mace and Sidious. I was personally wanting it to last a bit longer, and to possibly see Mace take on Anakin and see just how powerful Anakin had become and an instant, lead to what eventually would be what happened in the film. I got MAJOR chills and goosebumps during the movie. The major points were when I first heard the Main theme blasting into the theater after seeing A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.... I also got major chills the first time I saw and heard the mechanical Darth Vader. I must say that I totially agreed with Kevin Smith when he noted about how Lucas used the same set design from the 77 star wars blockade runner in the scene with bail organa.. And what a relief to only hear 2 words spoken by Jar Jar. (and seeing him for all but maybe 2 minutes. Whats nice is that my girlfriend bought me tickets to see it today (friday) again on the IMAX( HOW COOL IS THAT?!) She is wanting to see it as well, but couldnt make it to the time I went to. Mav
I saw it, I loved it, and am sad that this is the end, but waht a way to end... great movie... even though I knew it had to happen I just wish Mace didn't have to die, but it's okay because the Obi-Wan vs. Anakin fight was superb. Thanks George.
Sivy
awesome, just awesome i would say it tied with ESB for best star wars movie.

sith_master2000
I saw it last night and gee wizz! This movie is by far the BEST NT film so far! Although it was a strange experience for me to see the character reguarded as the hero turn evil because I've never seen it in a movie before. Also I heard rumours that Boba Fett was supposed to be in it but I didn't see him at all? My favourite part would have to be the semi-final battle with Obi-Wan and Vader, and also seeing Vader lying charred and limbless on the rocks after Obi-Wan defeats him, very spooky . However there was one thing I didn't like, all the cool Jedi die like Mace and Ayla Secura and Plo Koon, but Jar Jar doesn't even get a scratch on him! Stupid Gungan! Surfnshannon
I loved it. Artoo was so awesome. And 3PO was not as annoying as usually. I too felt like it was rushed through - but I understand we spent 2 PT movies talking about everything - this movie was for action. I'm a little dissapointed in Padme. She wussed out. She has always been my favorite and that girl wussed. Yes, she's pregnant - but damn it she wussed. I wanted her to show Anger at Anakin for killing those kids, not "there's still good in him". I wanted her to have more scenes. But oh well. That's what I wanted. I still loved the movie. I think what was more gruesome than Anakin burning was Greviouses eyes popping out. The other thing I will critisice is that I wanted us to HATE Anakin....not feel bad for him. I wanted him to see like a jerk evil mean guy - he came off kinda wierd. That's my first impression. Loved Obi he delivered more than I would have ever anticipated. What an awesome actor. I cried when he told Anakin he loved him and his speech with him before they fought. Such a true Jedi. Mace - I cried. It was sad to watch him get fried. And that Jedi Youngling that kicked all the clones ass - now that's what I'm talking about. Order 66 was moving - loved the music and it was just as horrible as I had anticipated. So cinematic. Great and awesome.

cayqel
Is it just me, or did Sidious imply that he created Anakin?
Andy867
I would say that he took the human factor that anakin had and instilled in him the connections that Jedis usually cut off. Thus he created the anakin that became vader.
cayqel
I mean litterally created him. That he made the midicolrians (sp?) form anakin in shmi's womb. That, in effect, "Anakin, I am your father."
Andy867
I believe Lucas said in an interview before Episode 2 was released that despite speculation, it is true what Shmi Skywalker told Qui-gon Jinn and how there was no father. She carried him and gave birth to him and that she couldnt explain it. And that set off like an epiphany on how he had read the supposed prophecy of 'the one' that would bring balance to the force. The fact that he had no father of his own and that his "midichlorians" were off the scale was the deciding factors that deemed him to be the one, at least in the mind of Qui-gon Jinn and Obi-wan. guybroom
OMG!!!!! This film ROCKS!!! But I would not have finished like that. I would have swapped around the scene with Luke going to Tatooine and the creation of the Death Star. So I would have ended with the Death Star. Also, I'm confused, what happened to Sifo Dias? They didnt mention him. I also dont get what they meant about mis reading the prophicy. That is just stupid! And one final thought: When Anikan had his legs chopped off, did any one think like me? "Come on I'll bite your legs off! I'll call it a draw then!" (Fans of Monty Python will understand) Over all 9/
Darth Ob1
This movie IS THE BEST STAR WARS MOVIE EVER! There wasnt anything that I didnt like from it.I cant wait for it to come out on DVD. P.S. Grievous was coughing because in the last episode of the cartoon The Clone Wars, When he kidnaps the chancellor, mace tries to stop him and with the force damages Grievous chest . ParanoidAndroid
The best of the Newer Star wars movies, I loved it! The battles were awsome although I think some of them could have been shown more. The "order 66" bit was really good I thought, you see the jedi getting picked off one by one... Although I am a bit dissapointed that Qui Gon didnt appear in ghost form. But you fineally get to see palpatine in action with a lightsaber, he slaughters Maces companions right off the bat, Kit gave him a bit of a fight though not much. In the end Mace gets knocked out of the window, makes me wonder if Palpaine would have won if Anakin hadnt interferred? Yoda is forced to retreat and hide and Jar Jar isnt annoying. Less boring talking scenes and more action. Definetly one of the best if not the Best Star Wars movie.

Darth Smaug
Great Movie, but to me it was a little weird..I don't know it's just weird....but it was great!
ET Warrior
Honestly, I dont know if Mace could've taken Sidious, I think if it weren't for Anakin's interference Mace could've held his own. He DID have Sidious backed into a corner, and he was fully capable of blocking his lighting, which was really the only attack left to him. Eventually Sidious either would've melted his entire face off or Mace would've cut him down. However, I think he allowed himself to be cornered in an effort to get Anakin to save him.... Impossible to know for certain. I also dont get what they meant about mis reading the prophicy. That is just stupid! I thought it was quite clever, all the Jedi assumed that the chosen one bringing balance to the force meant that the Sith would be destroyed, but they didn't think that perhaps the Sith AND the Jedi would be destroyed to fulfill the prophecy. Ockniel
I've seen it twice. It is a friggin sweet movie, though I would have liked to see quigon, my friend saw advanced screening before the movie was rated, and he said that he heard quigon, and that he got a glimpse of the room of a thousand fountains, so I'll be waiting for the DVD. but overall, I think its my favorite Star Wars movie. 10/10 w00t! guybroom
I just saw it a second time and it really rocks! [so many questions] Did anyone see a 1138 reference. I was looking for it and it wasnt there. Also, something I just noticed. How did Anikan/vader learn to become a ghost for the end of ROTJ? No one told him. And did anyone see what might have been Thrawn from the EU? I havnt read them, but I have seen pictures of Thrawn. The person was outside the theater and Anikan walks past him when going in. Did they say how Vader got Grand Mof Tarkin? [/so many questions]

The key to becoming a ghost in the Force is to love others, and that last moment Anakin shared with Luke before dying was enough to become a ghost. Originally posted by guybroom Did they say how Vader Palpatine got Grand Mof Tarkin? Fixed. No it didn't. He was just... there. Originally they were going to show Palpatine in the Senate announcing the installation of his regional governors, but it was cut.

Shok_Tinoktin
The saber Obi-Wan gives Luke is blue (in most scenes anyway). The one he builds himself is green.
